Excluding religious and family contexts; love comes in different forms and meanings but the two most modern usages are the noun and the verb. The noun upholds the original meaning of a natural strong feeling of affection which appeals to those of us who are very reserved, traditional and conservative. The verb supports those of us who are very adventurous, open minded, social and modern.

Often times, ladies especially, have complained, "How can he say he love me but want to have sex with me on the first day we met"
Well, ladies, the brothers are right. Out of popular demand, the verb love was added to dictionaries and it means having a deep affection or sexual love. You see, that "or" has changed everything. Quite unfortunate, but guys are right when they say they love you and want to have sex with you on the same day. Things is, deep down, they know both of you are not talking about the same love; but they will use that on you to confuse you to think about the noun, when all the while, they meant the verb.

Often times, people debate about the existence of love at first sight.
Well, to put it this way, love at first sight exists for the people who also practice the verb. And that is almost all of us.
You can bump into someone at a church party and instantly believe that person is the one, and just like Romeo and Juliet, that person feels the same way too. That's love at first sight.
You can also run into a sexy picture of your man or woman crush on instagram and you remind yourself how perfect he or she is and how you can't wait to tear him or her up on bed. That's love at first sight too.

Because our society hasn't fully assimilated these theories, we must manually find out if the people we are dating love us as we love them. We can't continue to court misunderstanding and count breakups because the people that we love were not in the same love with us.
