On a day like this 60 years ago, our beloved Acting President Osinbajo was born into the family of Opeoluwa Osinbajo at Creek Hospital, Lagos.

As expected, Nigerians have been sending their goodwill messages to him and wishing him well as he acts on behalf of President Buhari who has been away from the country for 48 days on medical vacation.

His boss, Buhari sent him a touching message this morning which reads: “Buhari sent him a touching message this morning which reads: “60 hearty cheers for Professor Yemi Osinbajo, running mate turned partner in service to Nigeria; and friend. Happy Birthday, Professor!”

Other prominent Nigerians like Senate president Bukola Saraki, the speaker of the House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara, deputy president of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, the All Progressives Congress and others.

Osinbajo is married to Dolapo, a granddaughter of the iconic first Premier of the Western region, now south-west and some parts of south-south Nigeria, late Obafemi Awolowo. They are blessed with three children.


Before he became vice president, Osinbajo was a pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Olive Tree provincial headquarter parish.

He was also serving as the senior partner of a law firm, Simmons Cooper Partners.
