Former Military governor of Edo State, Dr. Samuel Osaigbovo Ogbemudia has died. He reportedly passed away about 11pm yesterday.

A former two time Governor, Ogbemudia was appointed Military administrator of Mid-West state in September, 1967 - 1975 following the liberation of state from the fBiafran forces.

Years later , Ogbemudia was elected civilian governor of Bendel state after winning the August 1983 gubernatorial election under the platform of the National Party of Nigeria (NPN)

Why say former governor of Edo state when you have all his details which is Midwest and Bendel and not Edo. He had human heart and was extremely good, unlike the heartless Vampires, ritualist, thieves parading themselves as governor today. His foot prints in Midwest, later Bendel, (EDO/Delta. (Ogbemudia eburu moto yenyi) a song by Ogonaso of Umutu in Ukwuani local govt of now Delta. These group visited him is office in the 70s and he donated a bus to them.

from the tales i have heard and read, he's simply the best. Tried for abuse of his office and acquited. He started the GREAT UNIBEN, the old Agbede farm brought sport to life in the state ( Bendel ) and a host of other achievemet.
