Abia commences training of E4E program participants

Abia State Government has commenced the training of more than 36,000 registered participants of the Education for Employment (E4E) scheme of the Governor Okezie Ikpeazu led administration.

The training program which officially flagged off today at the Abia E-library complex is expected to train the participants in various skill areas, locate jobs for those wishing to go into paid employment, offer start up materials for those wishing to stand alone as well as offer monthly stipends to the trainees.

Speaking at the event which is currently focused on acquisition of ICT skills, the coordinator of the program and internationally renowned trainer, Chief Endi Ezengwa, encouraged the participants to take the program serious and use it to launch themselves into the next phase of their lives. He assured that those who do well will receive special awards and internationally recognized certificates.

Mr Ezengwa insisted that the program is for all Abians regardless of political leaning and will focus on hands on skill training in various areas as indicated by the participants.

The training is expected to last for four months for each stream and it is concurrently taking place at 13 locations across the 17 LGAs of the state.
