Studing the given examples shows multiplying the upper number by the centre unmber gives the lower unmber. The missing digit in each of the questions is. 1.6, 2.3, 3.4, 4.6 and 5.2. The question that is of little challenge is No2 which is solved as follows. Let X reprent the missing digit, hence 3(X32)=996, expanding the bracket we have 300X+90+6=996, 300X=996-96, 300X=900, X=900/300=3. Note: X in the equation reprents the hundredth unit, 3 the tenth unit and 2 the unit. |

wumiesontop: Thank you for your time in solving and uploading it. That was great. Can I bring your attention up something?... 1..From the first example you solved (I.e the inverted 'Y') you used the 3 that was given before and solved which lead to the same 3 you still got, likewise example 2. So it's like adding and subtracting to get the values you need. [I'm going to try to explain in details later. My battery is low) |

CzarChris: Really sorry. From what I read, you seem to be saying that "Why are my making a fuss over this small exercise. That I make people think I went to primary school during the stone age" I might have misunderstood you because your writing weren't straight forward. Really apologize |

wumiesontop: Okay, since you feel that all the numbers can be used, so how then do you get to find the answer to a particular question if there are empty boxes? Moreover, you can't get other empty box with your way of solving it Quote me when you reply so that I'd know you've replied. |
