This happens in every professional field in Nigeria. The old ones are making ridiculous laws to keep the brilliant young mind out and at the same time saving spaces for their children. 1 Like |

Yet some miserable half-wits are screaming "One Nigeria". Thunder fire one Nigeria there. A country her minister of Science and Technology announced merrily with a lot of fun fair that she'll start producing pencils by 2020. Divide this useless union let Biafrans go their separate ways, work hard and achieve their full potential. Those who love Nigeria can stay back and start produce erasers and crayons by 2050. I spit on Mr. Lugard and his apron-wearing girlfriend. 12 Likes |

Angeleena: Doctors are not specifically trained to fix Cannula... That's one of the duties of a Nurse, Practical Nurse etc.. Nurses have their duty, Doctors have theirs. No need comparing and arguing who works more. Registered Nurses (entry level) are not paid more than Resident Medical Doctors anywhere in the World You can bring evidence to back up your claim 19 Likes |

God will definitely punish ALL these heartless money worshiping bastards that call themselves doctors. one day Nigerians will work into the hospitals and deliver jungle justice on each and everyone of you they can lay their hand on, for you lack of value for human lives. |

Why won't doctors rant? Doctors and patient in Nigeria will continue to rant about health care until government adopt the schooling and training style of United States. In USA, you don't have to study medicine and surgery at the undergraduate level to become a medical doctor but you will need to go medical school. This same approach should be adopted in Nigeria. If this can be adopted, you will then see a lot of graduate from other science field who will be interested to become a medical doctor. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Everyone knows that EVERY Nigerian worker is underpaid. The older ones make things worse and keep space for the unborn generation. Some lawyers are paid 15k as monthly wages, some teachers in some private schools are paid same. Oga we are in this together. 1 Like |

I support you in this one. Some of them are so annoying. (apology to the good ones) They don't even know what they are doing. They bribe their way through. Imagine you complaining of stomach pains and a doctor is either googling or checking the text book in front of him or her to know the drugs to prescribe. I support the older doctors. Pls continue to hold on for us till 70yrs for this one. The rot in this younger doctors is too much. Angeleena: 1 Like |

The whole of Nigeria is affected. When he have persons who their academic qualifications are not free from inquiry and ridicule at the helms of power and free bounty, with little impact or input to the system. When we get pushed to the wall, things will change for the better. |

To be frank, our health system is nothing to write home about. No difference between bakeries and the so called tertiary hospitals. No equipment, no man power. Our leaders don't care cos they can get health attention abroad. Many doctors are leaving this country for countries that value their health system. |

1. A doctor's pay may be more than a nurse pay but it is not to be expected. It is no excuse for them not to demand a higher pay. It is none of a nurse's business neither is nurse demand for higher pay, a doctor's business 2. Whatever you call a main job, if you asked to do something that you are not meant to do, don't complain but if you something goes wrong and you are sued, good for you. 3. You need to focus on the fact that the hospital is generally understaffedand underfunded, that is why things seems like the way it is. It is neither he nurse's fault not the doctor's. 4. There are nurses that cant even take a blood or inject a patient. These nurses do not determine the competency of other nurses. 5. You really need to stop hating man. Whether you are a doctor or a nurse or a teacher or a lawyer, as long as we in in Nigeria, we are all screwed. Angeleena: 13 Likes |
