I want to sell my 1999 Toyota Avalon with no issues and buy a Nissan Pathfinder between 2001 and 2003 model. Is this a wise decision because i have been battling with the thought of whether i am making right choice. |

GAZZUZZ:Oga Gazzuzz i need this coolant reserve tank cap, mine is broken & leaking around the marked area, and i also have coolant leaking from the upper radiator hose, where it connects to the engine.. leakages only occurs when engine is hot 1 Share

Hello Sir Gazzuzz, I'm considering a Peugeot Expert Tepee 07/08 for a domestic travel agency's road trip. (Think Lagos-Bauchi, Lagos-Cross River routes). 1. Would love your opinion about the car for this purpose 2. Diesel or Petrol engine? Seems diesel engine are readily available from my researches so far 3. How do I maintain a diesel engine? Common issues associated? Are auto Mechanics readily available for it? 4. Are the parts readily available? At what cost? 5. What would you do differently if you were in my position and needed a 7/8 seater car for the purpose stated. Thanks. |

Aquariann: Older peugeot vehicles (504,505,404) are sturdy and almost indestructible. The newer peugeot cars are really nice once you get to understand that owning a peugeot, is not like owning a regular car, you have to acquire a great deal of maintenance knowledge, the vehicle has very little tolerance for mechanical or electrical abuse, Basically you would have to learn a lot of DIY and find a special peugeot mechanic, if you want to keep your vehicle on the road at all times. Diesel is readily available in nigeria, unfortunately there is a lot of contaminated diesel and peugeot does not tolerate anything out of specification. You would have to learn a lot of DIY to ensure you don't get stuck on the road If this happens. Most of the peugeot boxer vehicle that are used in transporting agricultural products from the north to the south are diesel powered, getting to find who services their engine should not be a problem. Not every one shares the sentiment of owning a modern peugeot and a diesel at that parts will be a problem, you would have to familiarize ur self with ordering for parts online. If I needed a 7/8 seater vehicle, for regular travel, I would buy a vehicle with very common parts, and a vehicle that most mechanics are familiar with. 3 Likes 1 Share
