sheedy407: Looool. But really, those tryin to side with the ooni shld knw dat oba eko has no allegiance with ife kingdom, eko recognises more with benin and more often dan not, dey try to sound like a sovereign kingdom. So oba eko can behave anyhow. |

rigarmortis:I agreed with spiritual head because even when Oyo empire was existing,it is legally prohibited for them to invade Ife territory where Apomu town belong.Infact,Oyo empire started to become weak because they invaded the town of Apomu under Ile-Ife. There is difference between Oyo empire and yorubaland.Oyo empire(largest)existed within yorubaland, along other empires like Ife.So,when Oyo empire was existing Alaafin was the the emperor of the empire not yorubaland while Ooni was and is the spiritual head of all the empires in yorubaland. After the fall of Oyo empire as the largest Ibadan rose as the largest empire in the land, the reason why Olubadn doesn't recognise Alaafin as his superior!!. Presently yoruba has no single political headquarters because each former empires Oyo,Ibadan(succeeding powerful empire to Oyo),Egba,Lagos(oyo empire didnt stretch to lagos) etc will want to lay claim to it.However,no controversy about the fact that Ooni of Ife is the spiritual head while ile -ife the spiritual capital. YOU STUDY THE PAST TO UNDERSTAND THE PRESENT. 1 Like |

TRUTH2020:Take it from me as someone who has lived both in the north and west: Yoruba "respect" is largely SUPERFICIAL. When u go to the North, u will see RESPECT that isn't acted but is commanded. As for the east/igbo's, I have nothing to say. 1 Like |

Just curious, why were the followers of the Ooni covering him before seating down? Can anyone please enlighten me on that? |

I guess is anger/action is as a result of his non inclusion in Ooni's royal visit to notables kingdoms. |

this is an eyesore and infidelity of highest order. Oni-resha remains d no.1 king to reckon with in Yoruba land; u would observe d other Oba gave Oni standing ovation as a sign of respect. #Akiolumuststopbeingrascal |

I expected the oba being first class oba and a grown up adult for that matter to at least have an handshake with ooni. His act according to information available is appalling and irresponsible. |

what is wrong with this old man, why humiliating him like that in public ? whatever their grievance why cant they just sort it out behind closed door. i smell jealousy. If i was oni i will never greet him again who does he think he is ? I think he was expecting Oni to prostrate for him cuz he is older |

Oba of Lagos is very sick, He is suffering from JEALOUSYTIASIS. Please he needs a doctor urgently. To Ooni of Ife, sorry some people are taking your humility for granted, some old men have refused to get matured, Don't mind them Jare. As far as am concerned, this Oba of Lagos did not disgrace Ooni of Ife, He disgraced himself by publicly displaying his arrogance and immaturity. 1 Like |

What is wrong with this old man called Oba of Lagos. What is even the meaning of the title "Oba of Lagos" formerly Eleko of Eko. The Oba of about two or three streets in Lagos Island . It was politics that made the title to be changed to Oba of Lagos. He is no match for the Ooni and no where near him. Is it class, position and recognition. Ooni is the most supreme ruler in Yorubaland. I think Oba Akiolu is jealous of him because he is younger and ocuupied such position. Prototocol demands that Oba of Lagos should remain standing whenever Ooni arrives in any occassion in which the Oba is present. The Oba is a disgrace. 1 Like |

LordOfNaira:I have wondered too. But the reality is that OONI OGUNWUSI isn't seeing his dreaded position as the Supreme king in Yoruba land. There is more that meet the eyes. I am yet to see any reason to justify OBA OF LAGOS action. Many of these kings knows many things that are hidden from the public . It may sound really funny but it hurt someone like me deeply seeing the picture. And I am doubtful if any natural problem has ever brewed between them. OBA AKIOLU himself knows the implication of these things. ALL YORUBA KINGS ARE YORUBA TRADITIONALIST irrespective of other religion being professed. Can't OONI CALL OSINBAJO TO ORDER? It is indeed an eye opener. 1 Like |

proffemi:I am comfortably sat with no offense nor sentiment attached to the issue. Have you for once thought about the eternal damning of OONI OGUNWUSI's personality ? OBA AKIOLU may have done something beyond his grip. But something is outrightly wrong. Ask yourself,is some certain things done by OONI right? I AM MORE BITTERED THAN YOU BUT THE DEED HAD BEEN DONE. I am very emotional about this but I consider all reason before justification. Despite the fact that OBA AKIOLU blundered, the dent has been made. If you think, OBA AKIOLU fooled himself, it is better, you have a rethink because OBA AKIOLU DISGRACED ALL YORUBAS 2 Likes |

tosyne2much:Assumption isn't what I postulated because I made reference to certain things OONI OGUNWUSI did in London, which need adjustment and remain as fact. Irrespective of the flaw that you see, which is POSSIBLE, with due respect to your opinion. Whether it is an assumption or a reality the reason for this issue will soon come out in one way or the other to public domain. And when it did come out, kindly do me a favour of informing my school of thought on the reason. My reason for this is because I am a humble Learner. |

Customer80: Stop dropping shit online . I don't think that's the reason he acted that way . He is the main person that facilitated the move for Lagos to join and be part of ownership of Odua investments, a Yoruba nation company ( property). |
