rose54321: 1. The topic is about a federal legislature giving tablets to school kids in his constituency, not about wheelbarrow in another state. Learn how to read, comprehend and follow a simple discussion. 2. School feeding is a good program and the fact that you have your own negative mindset about it doesn't mean it's not a good program. 3. You don't have to build a computer village to expose kids to ICT and even sef, of what use is a computer village without any knowledge or access to computers in the first place? 4. Gbajabiamila is a legislature, not the FG or a state governor so what's his business with your essay about feeding, desk, and wheelbarrow? 5. I bet if it was desks the man distributed, you will come out and say they should be giving out computers, and if it was books he gave out, you will still come out and say they should have given out backpacks. Fact is, it doesn't matter what they do, you people are just used blind and illogical criticisms. 1 Like |

deomello: I'm really tired of this back and forth, so wouldn't dignify you with a response again. Must you get insultive, after all I didn't quote you, simply posted a comment. That's my issue with Nairaland, it's very difficult to hold a mature discussion/debate, users too often degenerate to insults. There's really no basis for the bolded above. Skipping past that, when conversing we make analogies. My reference to the Benue state wheel barrow donation is simply an analogy as they are both welfare schemes. So I did in fact read, understand and focus on the topic. Mr. Femi is an elected official, so the funds hes using is that of his constituents, it's behooves on them to monitor, and constructively criticize when necessary. As humans sometimes our views might diverge that doesn't mean you can't respect mine and vice versa. So stick to your view, let me stick to mine. Simple. 1 Like |

rose54321: Very mutual Must you get insultive, after all I didn't quote you, simply posted a comment. That's my issue with Nairaland, it's very difficult to hold a mature discussion/debate, users too often degenerate to insults. I did not insult you and if you think I did, highlight the insult and I'll apologize. No, the issue on Niaraland is people like you derailing threads with the irrelevant argument. The thread is about a federal legislature, but you turned the discussion into food program, wheelbarrow in another state. Please tell us how the topic turned into your irrelevant argument? Or is it just too hard for you to stay on topic? The fact is, you don't have to stray away from the topic just to make relevant points and formulate sane views. . Skipping past that, when conversing we make analogies. My reference to the Benue state wheel barrow donation is simply an analogy as they are both welfare schemes. So I did in fact read, understand and focus on the topic. Comparing tablets for school kids which are well within the confines of their learning and school work with wheelbarrow issues in another state was just absurd, out of focus and irrelevant. Mr. Femi is an elected official, so the funds hes using is that of his constituents, it's behooves on them to monitor, and constructively criticize when necessary. There issue here is your baseless criticisms. You don't get to dictate to Mr Femi what programs he should spend his constituency allowance on. Maybe this is what the constituency or the kids in his constituency asked for to help them in school, you don't know and you ar just criticizing without bases or any credible rationale. If you are really interested and love to help or do something better and different, then go ahead and seek elected office and do things your own way. Take your allowance and build a computer village, build schools, build castles or whatever your heart desire. Hundreds of legislatures can not even account for their constituency allowance to start with and we still have to crucify the nes responsible enough to do something good with theirs. Makes no sense. As humans sometimes our views might diverge that doesn't mean you can't respect mine and vice versa.Simple. Sounds fair, but this is a discussion forum so good luck on that. |

deomello: It's commonsense to know that Nigerians have been using mobile gadgets since 2001. In your attempt to make a point, you're not even focusing on the issue raised in my post. If you believe your style of critique is the 7th sense, I'd be happy to have no discuss. Thanks 1 Like |

Mustay: The man gave out tablets to school kids to help them with their education, but just like the typical Nigerian, your brain latched on to contract and who made money off the tablets. Must that factor into and insinuation enter the discussion especially when you obviously know nothing about the tablets, where they came from, how much they cost and so on, you just don't know. Then you criticized based on unstable electricity in surulere as if the fact Nigerians are not using computers because of electricity or school kids have to wait till whenever we have stable electricity before school kids use common tablets when in fact the same kids have cell phones that they charge every day. What's next? No computers or tablets for school children until they all have prepaid meters? It is OK to criticize, but your criticism was illogical and unreasonable. The fact that we have horrible leaders in Nigeria doesn't mean we have to be cynical and be unnecessarily negative over everything. |
