left to me... though I'm earning about 30k now, my aim is to be an I.T entrepreneur. Why? because no salary earner is among the richest in the world, and that's where I wanna be. not even a 1milion a month job can stop me. if you've settled to be an employee, it only shows the level of your aim In life. my thoughts though. 6 Likes |

Not everyone have that mentality of becoming rich, some are interested in comfort, while some wants to build a career. Come to think of it most policies and decision makers in the country are career civil servants. The likes of aruma oteh, okonjo, adesina are not into business and the level they are even dangote knows he has limitations despite his wealth. Emefiele is a career person, it may be fair or not to say some of his policies have rendered many businessmen useless. Our youths of today are only interested in the fast means, if you want to build a career go ahead and do, and don't get discouraged by the stipends you see today . 10 Likes |

In 1980, minimum wage was N90, which was about $100 so, was equivalent in purchasing to N40k today. In 2017, minimum wage is N18,000, which is about $40!! This means quality of life keeps dropping every decade. After 40 years, politicians are just gradually killing us with extreme poverty Price of goods have not really gone up; It's earnings that keep falling due to ineffectual & wicked leadership. Only salaries of 'leaders' have gone up (in real terms) in Nigeria. 6 Likes |

Ubongdemaga: Bricklayer. N60/ block × 200 blocks x 2 days in a week = N24k / week Which is N96k / month working only 2 days consistently in a week. Labourers: N2500/day x 3 days x 4 = N30k in a month with no skill. 4 years of university + tuition + handouts + strike + NYSC == still struggling to make N30k/ month. Life is not fair. 4 Likes |

verygudbadguy: You were making sense until you said: set an achievable target and when you attain tat level, you quit Quit and do what Own a business Or carry sure fixed odd of 200? Not everyone would make a fine entrepreneur! Some would make it better working under someone else. There are so many ways leading to the market, just as there are several ways to kill a rat! |

addikt: Unfortunately You can only afford to save 200k if you starve and sleep on the street in UK. Half or more of the £1,000 goes to rent,gas and water depending on his locality.The rest of the money will go to feeding,buscard fare ,family demands etc.How much do you think you can really save after all this? 5 Likes |

dingbang: What you fail to understand is that not everyone is interested in doing business. Using my wife as example, she quit her job few years ago, I have begged her to tell me what business she wants to do, she said No that she's not the biz type and she prefers to teach in any available private school pending when she will get a bigger job. Remember the money for business wasn't the issue. Not everyone is interested in business. 1 Like |
