IMO STATE SIX YEARS ANNIVERSARY
As the Governor of Imo state, His Excellecy Owelle Rochas Okorocha clocks Six years in office on May 29th, 2017, Independent Newspaper Publishers Association (INPA), as good partners in progress and major stakeholders in the State, carried out a study on Governor Rochas Okorocha’s regime and uncovered some agitations from Imo masses regarding the achievements of the Administration so far. Hereunder, are some of the issues raised by Imo populace and wish to draw the attention of the Governor to address the following agitations of Imolites with the view to making Imo a better state for all.
1. THE ABANDONEMENT OF PRINCE AND PRINCESS HOTEL PROJECTS
2. 4TH TERM TO CGC TO SDC SYSTEM OF GOVT: SO FAR, HOW FAR?
3. EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY, HOW FAR?
4. WHO OWNS EASTERN PALM UNIVERSITY? IMO STATE GOVT OR AN INDEVIDUAL?
5. 27 GENERAL HOSPITAL PROJECTS, NON FUNCTIONAL
6. WHERE ARE THE TURKEY INVESTORS?
7. WHERE IS IMO AIR?
8. 15 KM ROADS PER LGA 80% NON- COMPLETED
9. IMO LGA ADMINISTRATION DEAD
10. NON CONDUCT OF LGA ELECTION IN SIX YEARS
11. INCESSANT AND NON COMPLITION OF ROADS AND MANY OTHER INFRASTRUCTURE
12. ADALPALM DEAD (UNDER LOCK AND KEY)

20. DEBASEMENT OF IMO TRADITIONAL INSTITUTION
21. LOST OF ACCREDITATION OF VITAL COURSES AT IMSU AND IMO POLY
22. ALLEGED FORCEFUL ACQUISITION OF PRIVATE LANDS OF IMO CITIZENS BY STATE GOVT INCLUDING FIDA LAND
23. FORCEFUL EVICTION/DEMOLITION OF ARTISANS’ BUSINESS AREAS EG ORJI MACHANIC VILLAGE ETC
24. HEARTLAND FOOTALL CLUB RELEGATED, FIRST TIME IN 40 YEARS
25. ROOFING OF IMO STATE ROADS- A DANGER WAITING TO HAPPEN
26. ABANDONED FLYOVER CERTIFIED AS DEATH TRAP BY COREN
27. POOR ENVIROMENTAL SANITARY CONDITION OF IMO STATE (EG DOUGLAS ROAD ETC)
28. ALLEGED MISAPLICATION OF 13% OIL DERIVIATION FUNDS/DEATH OF ISOPADEC
29. ACCUSATION OF REDUCING GOVERNANCE TO FAMILY AFFAIR
30. ABANDONED 44 CITY GATES INSPITE OF HUGE RESOURCES SPENT
31. NON PAYMENT OF EX APPOINTEES SEVERANCE ALLOVANCES DESPITE COURT ORDERS
32. NON PAYMENT OF COMPENSATION ON DEMOLISHED PROPERTIES IN IMO STATE
33. EROSION OF IMO HERITAGES LIKE DOUGLAS HOUSE, OLD LIBRARY, MBARI EFIGEE ETC
34. UNNECESSARY DEMOLITION OF WATER BOARD, OLD MINISTRY OF WORKS, FSP ETC
35. OHAJI/EGBMA INDUSTRIAL PARK UNREALISED
36 ICAPS/YOUNG SCIENTIST SCHOOL ABANDONED
The Imo state government is therefore expected to expeditiously look into these issues raised by Imo masses.

That's what people who established Imo State University Teaching Hospital, Orlu, have promised Rochas Okorocha.

For five years, Okorocha deliberately scrapped and refused to repair the road to IMSUTH, denied accreditation support to IMSUTH courses, owed health workers months of arrears of salaries, denied fuel to IMSUTH generators, workers deserted IMSUTH.

Last October, Okorocha set up a kangaroo committee headed by his puppet Imo State House of Assembly Speaker, Acho Ihim, to relocate IMSUTH to Owerri; a trick to silence Owerri critics so as not to ask questions when Okorocha shall announce that Rochas Foundation has bought the remaining public shares in Eastern Palm University, Ogboko in Ideato south lga.

Okorocha told National Universities Commission last year that Eastern Palm University "is my 12 years dream come true."

Reminder to Anyone reading this. Imo State assembly sat down on their hands for 6 years doing nothing. The were more than happy to accept the cars he gave them using state funds. Also remember it's come with full coverage insurance.

Imo people , you brought it upon yourselves. Y'all calling Abagworo to come and defend Rochas, ask him when last he visited imo state before he starts trash talking.


I saw a thread where Rochas son inlaw was helping accident victims(if they didn't even cause that accident so he'll shine), they have started again trying to play with your head. Soon you'll start shouting man of the people and he takes over from Roch and cover up his criminal acts. 6yrs no LGA chairmen,unpaid salaries and pensions, death traps he called roads, stupid thought out tunnels, useless flyovers they used container to wedge for months or all those abandoned buildings he said are clinics that are now permanent homes to rats,roaches and snakes!?!. Rochas started good and he lost it right after he started.
