Moreover 2nd Niger bridge is an ongoing contact like the Lag - Iba road, so which contract again was awarded in 2017?

The issue still remains that even after the approval of the project(2nd Niger bridge) since first quarter, it still has not been fund until now. this administration will still wait till election period to fund said project for election purposes. it is a pity that so many aren't seeing it from this point. 97% to 5% is very real in this administration, in fact, the only promise that has been fully achieved in this administration. imagine after 2yrs, not a logo has been channelled to that project. sometimes, I am even tempted not to blame Ipob even though their strategy looks crude but one can do anything to liberate himself when pushed to the wall. 'Expressway adding that what the Infrastructure Construction Regulatory Commission (ICRC) has is a financing agreement from a consortium of banks which is like a loan that still has to be paid back through budgetary provisions....' . The NASS was right after all, why spend the bulk of our funds on a road that you have a loan to build, it was wise for them to insist on private funding of it and spread the other funds on cluster projects that will benefit the rural dwellers which do not have alternative funding.

Thank God for the NASS that is here to checkmate the excesses of political bigots like Fashola.

And the same Fashola expended billions of naira on the following roads in the south east:

1, Enugu bound carriageway of the Onitsha-Enugu road. Phase 1 and 2.

2, Abakaliki - Afikpo road section I, Abakaliki Onueke- Abomega road in Ebonyin state.

3, Nnenwe-Uduma-Uburu road. Section one and two with spur to ishiagu mike2 road.
4, 9th mile- Enugu-port Harcourt dual carriageway in Enugu/Abia.

4, Onitsha Enugu expressway, Amansea - Enugu state border.

5, Enugu-Port Harcourt dual carriageway section I Lokpanta - Umuahia tower.

6, Oba-Nnewi road, section 1, Anambra state.

7, Oba-Nnewi-Okigwe road, Anambra/ Abia state border.

I only mentioned these few ones but there are many more ongoing road projects in the south east. If you guys don't understand how the ministry works, ask questions and learn from those who know instead of spewing hateful nonsense online. There is a state controller of works in Anambra state, work into his office and ask him the situation of things with second Niger bridge.

The minister can't just walk into ministry of finance and demand for money, that is not how government works.

The ministry of budget and planning controls the budget. All MDAs will submit their capital proposal to them and they will give approval based on the availability of funds and other factors that are best known to them. Once an MDA gets approval from budget and planning, it is then the duty of the finance ministry to release the funds. If there is no approval for a project from budget office, finance can't give you shishi.
