wirinet: Dont say Igbos pushed for anything. There is no written agreement or treaty where the Igbo nation agreed to be part of Nigeria. Saying that a referendum is impractical in Nigeria myopic. Even Scotland that has been with the UK for over 300 years got referendum in 2014 to even talk of Nigeria that was created just 102 years ago |

please, someone should ask Ekweremadu, since they now realised that they are elders, are they not ashamed that they were there and the country degenerated to this messy level? are they as elders not ashamed that they could not afford the basic necessities of life to their people? are they not ashamed that as elders, they looted the money they should have used to develop their various states or communities? Or, they expected the youths to continue in their ignorance whereby they give them peanuts to be their tugs and macenaries? we don't want the elders to define our future for us anymore because they have failed this country, they have failed their villages. 1 Like |

Proudlyngwa:Biafrans.... I hope you realize that if financing is the major challenge of getting a referendum, Biafra would've been long gone from Nigeria. By the way, something keeps telling me you're a Northerner masquerading under that Ngwa moniker. |

PointB: Trust me, restructuring would win by a long short. I have done a sampling everywhere I can and most Igbos prefer restructuring. And I will explain. Many people agitating for secession are doing so with the wrong assumption that the South South would readily be a part of Biafra. I have asked many Biafra supporters if they would readily secede without Rivers state and the answer I get is that there are Igbos in Rivers. Then I asked people of the Igboid groups in Rivers state whether they'd love to go with Biafra and the answer I get is largely that they aren't part of Biafra. Meaning a referendum in Rivers would be totally against Biafra. Now are the 5 eastern states likely to vote secession in a referendum? Well maybe young people yes, but older people would choose restructuring. Also Igbos living outside of the South East would largely influence family members back home to vote against secession and vote restructuring. Nnamdi Kanu made too many mistakes at the beginning with his hate speeches as he bred a legion of hateful subscripts who troll the internet attacking even ethnic groups in the South South that were hitherto great supporters of the South East. It's simple no longer made sense for minorities of the South South to continue in thier support of A Biafra that was forcefully including them without any form of dialogue. Terrible strategy. 3 Likes |

wirinet:Nigeria's oil reserves are expected to finish in less than 30 years. What happens after that? How will Nigeria survive? That is the question you should be asking yourself instead of immersing yourself deep in Biafran issues. I'm asking you now... How will Nigeria survive after oil? |

Mazi Ike Ekweremadu, I know you are smooth and quiet operator. However the issue of Biafra and Nigeria has gone beyond sheer intellectual ring of honor. At this present level, it is as simple as ABC. Biafra must secede from Nigeria. The talk of restructure is suitable for gullible fools. For example, an emergence of Biafra today should mean one or two international airports, one or two functional seaports, one of two mega cities, expedited construction of network of roads, rise of academic and military academies, simplified system of government with few ministries Nigeria will only dream about and massive return of Biafran sons and daughters in Diaspora who are hunger to contribute in the growth of the nation on pro bono. However, Ndigbo and Biafrans cannot achieve any of above in Nigeria for the next 100 years even with deceitful restructure. It is said that "necessity is the mother of invention" however in the case of Biafra, "urgency is the motto of growth". 2 Likes |

owobokiri: 'That useless generation of igbos should just go and die..' Do you have a father? If you do, I believe he might be part of that generation. Now if all the notable, educated, highly placed Igbo men, home and abroad have cautioned the way this agitation is going and all the young, inexperienced, hot-blooded men do is insult them and tag them as 'sabos', who do you have left? What do make of a Nation built on 'tigbu-tigbu...zogbuo-zogbuo?' Why don't you channel this same energy to holding your Governors to account for thier stewardship and provide quality leadership for the people. This is the time to build our home. What exactly is the FGN taking away from the East? If we can't develop now that we are given 'free monthly allocations', what guarantee do you have that we will do better when we don't get such extra income? I think it is time to keep sentiments aside and be realistic. We can avoid unnecessary hardship and death by soft pedalling now that we have gotten the attention we need. 2 Likes |

The repercussion of Biafra will be war in the Nigeria area that will sustain France for another thirty years as the wars in central Africa sustained France for the last thirty years and more. Like pontificate till the cows come home, cuss all you want, label all contrary opinion Afunja, foolish, and so on, truth is,there will NEVER be a Biafra without acsess to the ofsure oil. This need is the flash point. Igbo wealth outside Biafra is nigotiable. However, If leading advocates for Biafra accsept a landlocked Biafra and the rest of Nigeria remain as one, Biafra will not work. So conflict is needed to actualise a workable Biafra. This Biafra thing is a monumental mistake - no not mistake, some know exactly what they are pushing us into wide-eyed - more like tradjedy for all sides but, unfortunately, it is a tradjedy only appriciable in hindsight, when 'i told you so' will hold no joy for anyone. 2 Likes |

nonhuman: I stopped listening to Radio Biafra about 3 years ago for two reasons. The main reason was the hate speech. My feeling then was, can't these guys go about this Biafran thing without instigating hate in people's hearts. As a Christian I believe it is very wrong to hate people. So I couldn't just continue listening to Radio Biafra. I quite agree with some of their positions but I hate the hate doctrine 3 Likes |

wirinet: You cannot seize anybody's property and think it is fun. This is stream of thought from a lazy drone. I repeat secession or gain of independent does not mean the lose of naturally guaranteed inaliablbe rights of people. If the dumbass Nigeria even think of such idiotic move, it will face worse retaliatory actions from around the world including military intervention. |

The way they scatter their investment around Nigeria makes me wonder if all their father died and didn't advice them about the war and how unstable Nigeria is.. Our generation must fix it..... This call for succession must go on...unless another generation will be a sold out like this ones. 1 Like |

PreyingMantis:With the current structure, Nigeria cannot survive without oil. I cannot say if Nigeria would have diversified their economy away from oil in 30years time, but if it continues to rely on crude for over 70% of its foreign earnings, then Nigeria would not survive. A good reference is Venezuela. The country is failing simply because oil revenues dried up. Now answer the question, how will Biafra survive without oil revenue? How will you earn money to run your government and stabilize your economy ( including exchange rates) without petrodollars? 1 Like |

PreyingMantis: How do you intend getting Biafrans to finance it. What makes you feel it is every Igbo man, that supports Nnamdi kanus uncouth way of doing things. As far as am concerned. Nnamdi kanu is a rebel. You only get the mandate to represent a people by the people's concensus via an election. Who gave him the right to speak for all of us. 1 Like |
