pitodenz: The most rugged according to the books is the flooded types...but the really good ones do not come cheap.... The are suppliers on the thread....I am sure they can give you discounted prices. |

What a Great Privilege! Just installed - Magnum Inverter MS4348PE; - 8 units of Flooded L16E Batteries (USB) from www.solardepotng.com The 55A Charging Current (@48V) is complete and that brought the batteries to float successfully within 2 hours. The Inverter and Disconnect Box (175A) are on the wall while the Central Stab (met on site, along with previous wiring) is sitting on the floor. The 8 Batteries ( US L16E XC2 6V) are on the other side of the wall outside, sitting on a metal rack, laid with plywood. A flexible weatherproof cover would be fabricated to shield the batteries from environment, yet allow hydrogen breathing. The Client wants the remote to be with the Inverter and the Remote cable is so long to make the board look cluttered. I would still repack it well. 50mm cables were used all throughout (Inverter-Fuse-Battery connection) including battery interconnecting cables. Remains DC Grounding. users of ep solar: am a lil confused abt mine..........the batt SOC values usually show abt 93% around 10am n then as charging continues..it reduces to 70% and even 51%...........i dont really understand.. am wondering if there is anything wrong in the parameter...especially the 2nd pic {thats the parameter setting...its adjustable by user}

earthrealm:the soc is an assumption not accurate. You should worry about the battery voltage. Mine will be 30% but will increase 60% without any charge. The software is not precise not a fault |
