Well, with the spread and inclusion of the president's friends and supporters it will be difficult to tag this list witch-hunting as is usually the case when anyone is accused of any offence in Naija.

Hope the parties will retrieve their tickets from these criminals fast fast.
Kwankwaso and some friends of Asorock indicted? May be EFCC is not that selective.

True that, I found that very shameful myself.

But funny enough that is not even the height of it, his proclamation that FG is investing $2b on arms to crush Niger-Delta militants was even more shameful and criminal. shocked

Just wondering why Akala's name was 'mistakenly' omitted.

There is an investigation going on with Akala in which I think Ribadu hopes to initiate  legal proceedings. I think investigations have not been concluded on Akala's case.

lady t ignorance has not made you to see that atiku is today the true face of democracy in nigeria.a man who has exposed the wickedness and deceitfullness of obasanjo's regime against all odds.atiku has came out with facts against the goverment while the govment is only speculating on atiku a man who is always ready to face any probe panel can that be said of obasanjo?is iyabo not currupt?where is andy uba's name or is akala longer going for gorvernor please we should be fair in our views let obj come out and defend himself

If his name is on the list you will still look for another name thats not on, to be honest I think Andy Uba will get his treatment when the time comes, I dont know what state he is trying to govern but im sure those people are not dumb, they'll definitely show him up- that's the plan not upper hand needed
Re: Nigerian Vp Named On Graft List! Atiku Is Out! by ishmael(m): 5:55pm On Feb 07, 2007
I can't see Odili, Makarfi, Ibori and Igbenidion in that list. Does that mean that they are among the non-corrupt politicians in Nigeria?? Or may be i did nt look well; i will still check again.
Re: Nigerian Vp Named On Graft List! Atiku Is Out! by debosky(m): 5:58pm On Feb 07, 2007
they are not seeking political office, thats why their names are not on it.

Atiku being the true face of democracy or better still the symbol of democracy is an imaginary conception which exists only in the thoughts of members of Turaki Vanguard and their supporters. To them the definition of democracy is the President initiating a transition programme that will ensure the emergence of his vice anything else is undemocratic.

Fine Atiku has exposed OBJ. But the question is, if majority of his accusations dates back to 3years and beyond why did he not leave up to his oath of office all the while to protect the constitution he swore to defend. Why did it have to take him being indicted of fraud before he tells the Nigerian people questions of fraud by the FG.Why did it have to take this long before he begins to protect this so-called democracy he proclaims to believe in?? why did it take him so long and whats the motivation behind his latest outburst. To me this is the height of desperation, exploiting the wish of the people to pursue his personal and clandestine motive. The beauty of it all is that Nigerians are not getting decieved.

For your info this is not the first time Atiku has tried to blackmail his boss in other to be no.1. Go and read Mustapha Jokolo's account of the 53suitcase scandal of 1984 you will realise this guy has a history of vaulting ambition and abuse of office.

Why is that list not comprehensive?
Is it not missing the name of the number one thief in this country? a president who takes a $2bn loan for a farm!
Re: Nigerian Vp Named On Graft List! Atiku Is Out! by osigwe(m): 6:39pm On Feb 07, 2007
IN NIGERIA TODAY YOU HAVE TO GET TO THE TOP TO BE ABLE TO AFFECT CHANGES.ATIKU HAS BEEN PATIENT WITH OBANSANJO FOR A LONG WHILE. AS FAR BACK AS 2003 OBASANJO HAS BEEN HITTING AT HIM FROM ALL CORNERS BUT YET HE REFRAINED FROM HITTING BACK AT HIM TILL THE LAST STRAW WHICH WAS THE PTDF FUNDS.YES AS A DEMOCRAT HE HAS ALL THE RIGHT TO DEFEND HIMSELF FROM SUCH ATTACKS.
HE MADE HIMSELF AVAILAIBLE FOR PROBE WHICH HE COULD WELL HAVE DECLINED TO APPEAR B4 THE TRIBUNAL.
IF SINCERITY IS TO MATTER HERE ATIKUS DEFENCE OF THE FUNDS AT HIS DISPOSER WAS SATISFACTORY ENOUGH FOR ANY FAIR THINKING HUMAN TO SEE
IT IS JUST THAT NIGERIANS DO NOT LIKE LISTENING TO THE OTHER SIDE OF STORIES.AND AT THE END OF THE DAY NO FUND WAS LOST PARTAINING THE OVER 12OMILLION DOLLARS. GO THROUGH THE STORY ONCE AGAIN AND BE OBJECTIVE
WOULD OBJ TODAY DEFEND HIMSELF AGAINST ANY CURRUPTION BROUGHT AGAINST HIM
ATIKU IS FOCUSED AND INDEPENDENT MINDED THAT IS WHY THEY ARE SCARED OF HIM.AFTERALL THE GREAT MKO WAS ALSO ACCUSED OF CURRUPTION
Re: Nigerian Vp Named On Graft List! Atiku Is Out! by McKren(m): 6:49pm On Feb 07, 2007
I dont know what you mean by defence, what I think he does is counter attack.
He has not said he is innocent he rather suggests his boss is a bigger thief than himself which in itself is admittance of guilt. Nigerians in rejecting third term has rejected his boss, now we have to reject the self-acclaimed smaller thief.
Re: Nigerian Vp Named On Graft List! Atiku Is Out! by debosky(m): 6:52pm On Feb 07, 2007
I agree McKren - he even went as far as to say they both took money from the controversial MOFAS account.

Senior thief and junior thief, pack your load and go!

fighting for your political life isnt the same as being greedy. Atiku was afraid of falling into irrelevance, so he had to use the third term thing to make a name as a 'democrat'. but a thief he is still so we don't want him

Re: Nigerian Vp Named On Graft List! Atiku Is Out! by McKren(m): 8:46pm On Feb 07, 2007
Please people this is not a list of all the corrupt people in Nigeria as such a list will contain at least 90% of all politicians and public officials. This list is only an advisory list to Political Parties on candidates they have put forward for elections.

I dont understand how Anenih, Odili, Ibori or Even Babangida should be expected to be on that list when they are not standing for elections.
Re: Nigerian Vp Named On Graft List! Atiku Is Out! by BigB11(m): 9:26pm On Feb 07, 2007
It is shocking, sicken and unbelievable to see the content of the list.

It is totally disgusting and we truly have a long way ahead of us.

Re: Nigerian Vp Named On Graft List! Atiku Is Out! by toshmann(m): 10:58pm On Feb 07, 2007
sometimes i wonder if the people on this forum have ever lived in nigeria. good, efcc has done some work, which is better than nothing, but to say the hand of baba is not in the list is a show of naivity.

those who are aware know that baba will arrange a list that cannot be accused of being selective. a few friends may be sacrificed for this project. and baba is good at sacrificing friends ,not so? i wish you guys know of the monster called PDP.

this is a party that paid some of its members to defect to anpp and help to disorganise it in 2003 elections. rochas went to the extent of being the front runner in ANPP primaries in 2003-while he was a PDP agent. Rowland ovie was ANPP guber candidate in Edo state-he was paid by PDP to disorganise ANPP. we know. Kwankwaso's defeat in Kano in 2003 was well planned by PDP. PDP is too much. thet EFCC list has PDP hands in it. and one target-ATIKU.

BTW, atiku himself is a thief and should never rule naija. but for now he is the main opposition to PDP and he is doing it just fine. remember, don't forget, a democracy is as good as its opposition. so for now, lt us use ATIKU to strenghten our democracy. already he helped us stop 3rd term. now, just to get him, efcc has helped expose SOME corrupt guys. So i can only say that we should continue to pray. our democrazy may soon be democracy

I love this list and what is happening around Atiku,PDP is infact making him more popular, infact I am going to give him my vote,Obj is just selective about this whole thing, where are the likes of andy uba and other known barawos contesting.Atiku for Aso Rock
Re: Nigerian Vp Named On Graft List! Atiku Is Out! by lewa(m): 2:06am On Feb 08, 2007
Kwankwaso's defeat in Kano in 2003 was well planned by PDP
But Rabiu Kwankwaso was later appointed Minisfer for Defence!I think you are mistaken here. Ghali N'aba lost out to Kwankwaso in the primaries and with Abubakar Rimi supported Shekarau tacitly to win

So these are the people that have stopped NEPA from working? Where is Anthony Anenih with his N350 Billion road construction. Where  are Andy and Chris Ubah? So these are the people who have spent $170Billion generated by OBJ's government. Where was OBJ when these things were going on. Where is OBJ's kingsman who was a Director General in Ministry of Defence. Where is Danjuma  with his oil block? OBJ tell us. Im loving it. this is going to get nasty.
