Men are not encouraged to be weak and vulnerable. Men are human beings. As human beings we feel lost, afraid, insecure, weak at times. But because we are taught to deny these weaker part of ourselves it leads to a whole laundry list of problems in men because if we can't empathize with ourselves how are we going to empathize and establish meaningful relationships with others? We learn to kill our softness and humanity. As young boys we are taught by our families and society to be "strong." This false strength is an idealized masculine image of invulnerability with shades of heroism and violence mixed in Even in relationship more often than not the male counterpart tends to be the sacrificing and showing affection towards the female folks knowing fully wel, it might sometimes lead to harassment, approval and the likes. Showing normal human emotion doesn't make you weak If you don't show emotion and fail to pass the test of life. It only means you are pretending Human. Strength in our heart To be strong means to be able to go through some of the thoughest things in life and overcoming them. Don't you see footballers that cry after a match does that mean they weak or won't come back again Those that become successful and remain successful are strong Even some ladies are strong |
