Op.....thanks for this post.let the ikwerres know they are Igbo's.The distortion of history by the colonists and military north was really wicked.

I weep for my Igwere people. What really did Nigerian government wants to achieve by dividing a loving brothers, and what did the Ikwere elite want to achieve buy denying there heritage, because I strongly believe some of their elder known the truth.

No soothe sayer can tell me there is no relationship between the Igbos and the Ikwerres.

But the point is,most Ikwerres dont want to identify with the Igbos based on some obscure reasons.

I got to know this from my Ikwerre roomate way back in school when i called him an Ibo boy.I was shocked with the way the guy fummed that i should not call him that.He went on to say the Igbos are.................

I think history do not favour the relationship btw the duo .

Of course they are Igbo's as long as they speak azuzu igbo
