http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tlpZr8IRUcY Reports of extrajudicial killings by Nigerian security forces circulated widely in the aftermath of clashes last year between the police and members of Boko Haram, a group that called for the enforcement of Islamic law, or sharia, across Nigeria. Now Al Jazeera has obtained exclusive footage that appears to show Nigerian security forces ordering a number of people to lie in the road and then shooting them at close range. Human rights groups allege that many of those killed following the clashes were unarmed civilians. The footage obtained by Al Jazeera would appear to confirm those accusations. Mike Hanna has this exclusive report. Warning: The video contains images that may disturb or offend some viewers. |

@OP! It's good news at last that the common knowledge of Nigerian abuses and genocidal massacres during the civil war of the late 60s/70 has been confirmed beyond reasonable doubts that it was never a one off event. The chicken have come home to roust. The return of the oppressed is at hand! . |

Before we choose to call the dog a bad name just to hang it.. How sure are you they were civilians and unarmed?.. From the footage, there lie corpses, scattered over the road, which indicates there was a gun shoot out with many casualties.. Who the heck videoed it, was it a soldier or civilian?. If a soldier, y wasn't he sanctioned, and if a civilian, y wasn't he shot?.. I dont support extra judicial killings, but lets think 2ce before we conclude. |
