1. Aregbesola just used the N5.3b Paris club refund he recently collected to clear most of the backlog of the half salaries. He was the first governor to publish how he spent the first tranche of the Paris club refund.
2. The issue of half salary is something the people twisted a lot and misunderstood. Levels 1-7 that constituted over 50% of the workforce received FULL salary, levels 8-12 received 75% and levels 13+ received half salary. This was a measure to manage the megre allocation from FG (a drop of over 60%). Painful as it is, it was a recommendation and agreement by the joint labour and government committee set up to look into how to manage the steep fall in monthly allocation due to fall in Oil price.
3. It is funny that an Aregbesola that made sure "something" was paid was among the most vilified while Govs that paid nothing like Fayose for almost a year is seen as a star.

I just returned from Osogbo last month, and for me Aregbesola is more pragmatic in governance (his Model schools are a beauty to behold) than most of the governance. Sometime people need to go thru a period of pain before prosperity. I believe Osun state may be going thru theirs

2. Please give me the stats of those roaming the streets...... I would imagine that you do not know that school enrollment rate increased in Osun state since 2013 and as at this year Osun state has the highest enrollment rate and lowest out of school children.
