Well my brother's wife has it. When my brother brought her home my mom noticed it but because she and my dad are well read and very staunch believers they both just prayed about it. The lady is from a very good family too well brought up and we all accepted her openly. She's been with my brother for 12 years now and they are doing well. She's doing well for her self too. Infact she's my sister not sister in law

Sometimes superstitions has a way of growing deep roots in us but then I am compelled to believe that this conclusion of it being a bad omen by some clans might just stem from their findings...

There's no bad omen it's just a stigma. Some with it are doing better than some with a curved foot. It's just a postural deformity. There's a tendon missing.

I'm happy to see many comments regarding this.

A lady came to me some days back crying that guys usually leave her and I had a visitor with me when she came around.

After she left I began to wonder what could be wrong until the visitor asked me if I noticed her flat feet...

I argued with her but she kept saying I'm ignorant and that was why I created this thread to really know what people think.

Lalasticlala biko let's see more comments cos this is really a sensitive issue.

Same way I see it but the problem is with our elders who are superstitious.

You got flat foot...u can't be enrolled in the army then

They aren't allowed in military only because it inhibits athleticism. Flat foots aren't very good runners for example.

Also it must be said that Nigerians are idiots. Trust them to package it as yet another lie to use to oppress the poor women in the country. As if men don't also have flat feet.
