At least you have made it clear that you are talking about Mohammedans ( whatever that is) and not Muslims.

They're both the same thing. And synonymous with terrorism .

So I just checked in my account to see several mentions- some insulting me and others calling me liar, and some claiming that religion has nothing to do with individual character.
The truth is , whether we like it or not, there are some forces that shape people behaviour and make them act the way they do, and religion is one of these forces.
Religion keep people in check, because of the fear of inevitable in the afterlife. Muslims are generally more devoted and serious about their religion than Christians. Muslims take religion Very serious and it's the most important to them, this is the reason why there are more honest Muslims than Christians because Islam in the strongest term, forbid cheating the lies and many other crimes.
Let me give you guys an example, I have never had the notion that Muslims are considered to be more honest than Christians until I joined nairaland. I have never had any serious relationship with Christians until I registered in this forum.
I trade PayPal, Bitcoin and many other currencies in nairaland business section, and there was time I want sell PayPal to one of the member here. The disagreement ensured between us as to who will send the money first. But once I drop my bank account name and he saw Muslim Hausa name, he asked if I'm northern Muslim and told him yes. He said no problem, he would send me the money first because he believes Muslims are more honest than Christian, especially northern Muslims. That's even how I got the idea that Muslims are more honest than Christians. This happened to me not once. And here in the north we see our self as less honest Muslims than Arab.
I just gt d answer to my question now , ok dey re honest but still do evil tins

your opinion though. But by your analogy, why has the Nigeria govt heavily characterised with corruption and chests. A govt mostly run by Muslims. I guess all the northern governors, past presidents commissioners etc are all christians. Rubish

Daft! Daft! Daft! You write as if you attended the four walls of class rooms but obviously; you completely lack education.

Honesty has absolutely nothing to do with religion.

"If you like say Na Mohammed himself(PBUH) teach you, if you are dishonest you are simply dishonest. Period!!

The extent at which stupidity has ravaged Nigeria is the reason why at every mention of a statement regardless of its roots; people start comparing it between Christianity and Islam and the stupid OP is also guilty of this. An individual was honest enough to return the money he found "in his shop" with 100% certainty it belongs to one of his customers. The next thing his brain could think of is his religion, imagine the idiocy! Mcheew.......

You and the OP are more than stupid.

This morning I went down to get my trouser amended, prior to going I had about 5,000 naira in the pocket of this said trouser and I totally forgot I had put it in there last night. Fast forward I went to an Hassan multipurpose shop near my street where they amended clothes, shoes and bags and gave the trouser to one to amend whilst I waited.

When he was there I went home and tested the trouser on my body, then I dipped my hand into my pockets and at that moment I remembered I had put some money there last night but lo and Behold there wasn't any money in there anymore. It was crazy as I sped immediately with the trouser still on back to the shop, one arriving back there I couldn't find the man who amended my trouser. I asked his colleagues about him but they said he had left then I complained to them that the cloth he amended for me had some money in it but I couldn't find it anymore. They told me they had seen no money but that he had already left. Dang! This man has claimed sharp on me and zoomed off with my money and I was resigning to fate, he came strolled back to the shop from wherever he went to and I couldn't recognize him but the other hausa men spoke some hausan to him and then told me he's the one.. I told him i had some money in the trouser he amended but after shaping I couldn't find the money...

Love and Behold, he dipped his hand in his pocket and told me he picked it on the floor that it must have fallen while I was removing the cloth from my body after testing his work. He handed back the 5,000 naira to me.
The honesty of this Muslim fella has made my Sunday already and I couldn't help but wonder, how many of we Christians can actually do this. I know certain people who probably would have shared that money amongst themselves the moment they saw it and all connive to say they didn't see it when I had returned to complain.

First Question i have for u is, WHO DO U THINK IS A CHRISTIAN? A SUNDAY SUNDAY FELLA? OR HE WHO WALKS IN THE WAY OF CHRIST HIMSELF? Many claim to be Christians but aren't, i think u are using the experience u had with pple u tot were Christians to emphasis on, IF THE TAILOR HAD BEEN A CHRISTIAN**. A christian can do it and much better bro... we all now take been Christians is all abt going to church and who u see in church and who fill a form claiming to be a christian. u need to stop see the word christian in that manner bro.

Honest! but when it comes to religion dey totally forget that part of them.. and a christian can do much better, except u think a Christian is someone who still enjoy sin. No sis, a Christian is one who walk in the foot steps of Christ himself. We all call ourselves Christians but dnt even know the mean of the word. embarassed

That is so true Bro... but if this same Muslim did something wrong his religion would be the topic and what people will attack as cause and that bad will now totally be blamed on his religion... He did something good now.. people sees it as just a personal traits and his religion has no influence.

I wouldn't want to argue with you cos you have your reasons to conclude on your assumption, but let's get it straight using this same northern Nigeria and Arabs.
If they are so religious and honest, why is their people so poor and homeless? Always begging on the street, full of disables.
A man that keeps religion at heart will be selfless to his people with all his heart.
Check if not all, most of the terrorist group in the world, which religion do they practice? I guess you already know the answer.
My brother, hypocrisy is too much in religion. Even the Christians are thought to be honest and be their brothers keeper, so it's an individual thing based on morals and how you were brought up.
Cheers.

HYPOCRISY!

now I've come to the conclusion that Christians naturally hate Muslims without them realising it.

see the hypocrites saying 'don't tie an act of honesty to religion' or 'don't relates personality to religion'

but the same hypocrites would be the first to judge personality based on religion, the first to tag politics to religion, terrorism to religion e. t. c

when u know this has nothing to do with religion please my fellow brethren stop tagging Nigeria politics to religion or terrorism because these people do not care if you are a Muslim or Christian, Yoruba, igbo or Hausa.

Be a patriotic Nigerian wherever you are!

let's come together and fight against terrorism, tribalism and corruption.

God bless Nigeria

Yes, but when it comes honesty, Muslims are more honest than Christian.
There's something you didn't consider. Why did he search your pockets? When he found the money why didn't he put it back and return it to you?
Why did he take it?

Would he have looked for you to give you the money if you hadn't gone back there?

If you had not told his other Moslems would he have given you back the money?

Big question. Why did he take the money in the first place?

You dey learn talk?
