But, a pastor-friend of mine who is a member of Deeper Life, and is very gifted with prophecy and visions, once told me no one is allowed to share visions or prophecies, unless such visions and prophecies are validated and approved by Pastor W.F Kumuyi.

It might be due to the fact that many people have been deceived by so called prophets in some churches. Some people have broken up good relationships because one brother prophesied that the man you want to marry is not your future husband and vice versa, or wives sent parking for being called a witch.
The church might be doing this as a regulatory measure.
