Sadly, they don't have credible and responsible leaders in that part of the county.

There's a reason why that region is restless, economically depressed and unproductive and politically powerless and bankrupt, it's all because of lack of credible and responsible leadership needed to move their economic and political agenda.

We are talking about weak and incapacitated regional leadership with zero vision and creativity and the only regional leadership and the communal response is to always point fingers and blaming other people outside their borders for their own regional shortcomings.

Constant state of paranoia, regional and communal hate fed to so many generations is what they are reaping today.

The folks in that region care less about leadership and accountability or demand to know what their own leaders are doing or have done to take care of their own local needs in the SE or even what they are doing or have done with the IGR and allocations collected on their behalf, but the same folks in that SE region will die to know what the government in Osun or Kaduna state are doing with their taxes and allocation and even demand accountability from Aregbshola far away in Osun state as if Aregbeshola is their governor in the SE.

They love to ask and demand to know how much was spent or embezzled on a commissioned project in Osun state and ignore their own governors and states where nothing gets built or commissioned in the first place.

They are so preoccupied with hate and bigotry against other people as if hate and bigotry are all they need to survive.

Leadership is local, not aat the federal level or in other states and so far, there is nothing like responsible and credible leadership in the SE hence the bizarre state of restlessness and confusion that allowed the likes of Namdi Kanu to step in and fill the leadership void.
