maybe you are not seeing the issues of federal roads in the proper prospective and what the state can offer!
how many km of federal roads covers Nigeria alone and these are different from state roads.States have problems building new state roads talk less of maintaining its old state roads.
From where do you want these states to get the funds to build,enlarge and maintain federal roads?
those roads will be tolled.
Nothing bad in tolling roads esp if they r motorable n economically viable.
Imagine fixing calabar-itu-ikotekpene highway to either standard 4lane, it will really ease transport of goodsn services n also save time of doing business between the two states.
If they wait for fg, in the next 40yrs that road will remain at that rate.

Is a very good welcome development if they can make it work but,before they start calling for that definitely they up for something.is it the same governors that has been unable to pay 18000 minimum wage,workers salary, pension and gratuity.I smell rat on this .

RESTRUCTURE IS TO OVERLOADED THE ALREADY FULL POCKET OF NIGERIA POLITICIANS!
After:
i. Federal Allocation!
ii. Federal Bail outs!
iii. Internal revenue!
iv. Restructure Fund!
Can Nigeria be better with these people?
All the indication so far of the restructure is to increased the state Allocation;
Can our governor sincere enough not to divert this fund away from 70% poor masses!
How guarantee we are that the Restructure fund will go directly to the people it meant for!

Am not here to defend anybody, but just look around ur state roads and tell me if they are all fixed by ur both former and incumbent governors and it's Federal roads they wanna fix.

Had they finished fixing the state road, useless demand. Federal road should rather be given to multinational company to fix and make agreement with them to collect toll for some time instead of these rogues.

these south east governors are the worst set of human beings I have ever seen in my entire life, they should please take a 5k bus trip to the north and tell me if any federal road is left unrepaired. you fools are being cheated by the federal govt, how do you plan to fund the repairs when they hand them over to you? have you finish paying the workers salary you owe?

there is nothing wrong in the principle of tolling to raise funds to maintain the roads the question there is need to first raise the funds to be the roads first and then toll the roads!
tolling involves a whole lot of economic calculation and feasibility study!
uyo-calabar-itu-ikotekpene and its smooth connection to adjoining states road upgrade will be a very good project and it is feasible for the fg to pursue the construction of that road.the issue is does the fg want to pursue road infrastructure construction?
and this has nothing to do with lack of money because the last 16 years the various administration pursued east west road,Auchi abuja,Lagos Ibadan,Benin ore etc

The problem is that some states do not generate money on their own so these so called governorll rely on the federal government for Revenue for their only sole income.

Attan to agbara road in Ogun state is bad .Yet agbara is most industrialized area in Ogun state . Before the journey from attan to agbara used to be 30 min now it's 1hr .Please can someone tell amosun that people are tired of this bad road.
