Senate drills Adeosun, Udoma, says 15% implementation of 2017 budget, not acceptable

By Henry Umoru ABUJA-

FOLLOWING what it described as poor implementation and releases so far made out of the N7.4trillion in funding the 2017 budget, the Senate yesterday for well over two hours, drilled the Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun and her Budget and National Planning counterpart, Senator Udoma Udo Udoma. Minister Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, and Budget and National Planning Minister, Senator Udoma Udo Udoma The Senators who frowned at the poor implementation of the budget, warned that if not corrected and improved on, it would be very inimical to the fate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the next election, adding that it was unacceptable the release of less than 15% of the N2.177 trillion voted for capital projects in the 2017 budget..

I guess they will blame the past administration for poor budget implementation as that's the only excuse they have for their incompetence and failure.

The real question is when was the budget passed, harmonised and signed into law? Considering the fact that budget implementation will in real sense start approximately two months after it has been signed into law.

Please do you hear yourself at all?? Even if it is passed last month, are they having difficulty in implementation Is it only one contractor they are using?? The budget was passed in May and five months now it's only 15% of it has been implemented, probably at this rate, it will take them 10 months to do a 30% implementation. Please let's stop being myopic in this country, I have always challenged any one who defends this failure of a govt to run either his company, business or family affairs the way this administration runs a govt and see if he will not end up a disaster, please stop fooling around trying to defend this historical failure.

So who is responsible for the delayed budget......? Let me guess .......Ebele Jonathan.....Say you are happy now.......Why are we closing our eyes to the fact that APC is a big disappointment to those of us who voted for PMB but refused to be Zombies?
