I doubt if vitiligo has any cure.

There are vitiligo models that strut their stuff on the runway. Kindly encourage the person to embrace his/her uniqueness and rise above depression.

That's very bad oh!, I was afflicted with this same thing 6 years ago a year b4 I got admission to University, I was wearing long sleeve 24/7 no matter the weather.

It persisted for over a year and I almost lost all hope.

But the solution turned out to be rather simple. A doctor I met told me he had seen this b4 and that it is mainly caused by dry skin easily that sheds (and sometimes an overactive immune system) so all I should do to stop my skin from shedding is

To stop using sponge of any kind to bathe, just use hands to apply soap then wash off.

After bathing dry skin gently with towel i.e just use the towel to touch wet areas (DO NOT MAKE SCRUBBING MOTIONS just pat with towel)

Use good skin cream and skin moisturizer.

I thought it was too simple after my family had spent a lot of money but I followed his instructions and lo and behold barely a month later I started seeing results, 3 months later my skin was a uniform colour.

It's a big illness, though not really lethal.

Go to a big government hospital immediately n see specialists on the matter.

Could be Idiopathic(no known cause), hereditary, linked to those working with some Chemicals etc

Am a vitiligo patient. Have been with it since 2011/2012. But the spread has stopped. Had some drugs I was and still taking. Though the drugs are from India. I first went to LUTh and they gave me so many antibiotics that still doesn't work. So I had to send my lab results to India and the doctors prescribed the drugs which I have been using since 2012. I skip the doses for months and years sef and yet the vitiligo doesn't stil resurface. You can privately message me for details of the drugs

There is a cure I read sometime ago @op. It is possible to re-structure the skin color to the color the vitiligo parts have taken using some drugs. I heard it is drugs like this Micheal Jackson used turning him from black to the vitiligo color.

But, it comes with great side effects I guess. Let her just be proud of her skin despite the discoloration.

I doubt if yours was vitiligo but could be as any ailment if found early can be well managed and treated.

I dont use sponge to bathe. It gives me a lot of discomfort. Many Nigerians think it is until you use sponge to bath, you are clean.

I once had, but you can hardly see it again, I went to the hostipal & a doctor told me things i didnt quite believe could work. Tho it tooks years. She told me to stop using medicated soaps, stop eating eggs, cocoa beverages, cola( coke & pepsi)malt drinks, but can take fanta & d likes can remember all tho but can start with that

My name is Uncle Rukus no relations

This is me. mine started January 2014. Visited federal medical center. Was made to undergo some tests. meanwhile, thing was spreading so fast that it covered almost half of my face in the course of seeking for solution. Had to visit a private clinic since FMC wasn't serious. Was told there it. has no cure but I was given some drugs and injection, told to be coming every month to renew the drugs. My dad was like, what's the point? That I shouldnt go back since it has no cure. He hd to gather some men from his local church to pray for me. As you can see, its almost off, tho its very slow. January 2018 will make it four years
