He was a retired accountant, bought guns from four different states, modified them to be assault rifles which he made use of, mount cameras outside the suite to monitor security movements when they will move on him. I guess he was really prepared.

A witness said the gunshots lasted for 10 to 15 minutes. It didn't stop,the gunman fired on the crowd of about 22,000 people from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, several hundred feet southwest of the concert grounds. He stopped shooting at the crowd and diverted the shooting towards officers that were at the door of the hotel suite.

The gunman was alive when officers first made contact with him outside the hotel suite. After taking gunfire from him, police backed off and waited for SWAT teams to respond.

Twenty-three weapons were found in the hotel room, including multiple rifles, and some had scopes on them, several pounds of ammonium nitrate, a material used to make explosives, were found in the gunman's car, at least 19 more firearms were found in his home, as well as explosives, several thousand rounds of ammunition, and some electronic devices.

No matter the degree of emptiness he feels inside, it doesn't give him the liberty to take other people lives. He can simply walk to the jungle and be consumed by wild animals.

There's a reason why laws are made from the beginning of creation (order). Wish he's still alive to state his motive behind the crime he committed. Law enforcement officers will just formulate hypothesis to judge the crime he committed. They've brought in his girlfriend from the Philippines for questioning, she might know a thing or two.
