While I don't support the man in totality, the sad reality is that most of us young ones aren't really prepared to handle such office. we are still busy shouting afonja, ipad, arewa, Igbos, parasites. Can you nominate any nairalander for the governorship position of your state?

I agree with you Sir.

Nigeria is not a country for lily-livered leader. The young generations in Nigeria seem unconcerned and uninterested in the affairs of Nigeria. Going by their assessments, opinions and lack-lustre debates in political arena, it would be a mistake to entrust the future of Nigeria to the present crop of youngsters.

The youngsters nowadays are sex and money-driven, hence majority involvement in despicable acts just to live larger than life. They lack the will, selfless and the passion to challenge the status quo. Once you dangle a carrot over their head, they compromise.

Time will not change if the youngsters don't change their mindset.

Jonathan was internally sabotaged for his intentions to handover power to younger generation hence APC can't make such grievious mistake again.

Young Nigerians are their own nightmares.

nwakibie3:
The Publicity Secretary of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Lagos State Chapter, Joe Igbokwe has given reasons the party at national level, cannot support young persons seeking to be Nigeria’s president.

The APC chieftain, who doubles as Chairman of the Lagos State Wharf Landing Fees Collecting Authority, said the young ones do not know the country.

Stating why the party would not support the “Not Too Young To Run” campaign, Igbokwe asserted that experience was required to hold a political post in Nigeria.

He also advised the youths to wait until they were old enough to hold political posts.

“When a young person is coming in, experience matters. The young person who is going to come, we want to know his pedigree – where are you coming from, what are you capable of doing,” he told SaharaReporters.

“If you pick a young person and make a governor, when he gets to that seat, he won’t know where to start from because you don’t have the experience and have not done that kind of job before.

“The young person cannot teach the old traditions; they should go and learn the trade because you can’t give what you don’t have. I will tell young people to be patient and not sound like a wailer.

“They don’t understand this country; the young ones are not seeing anything because they don’t want to see it,” he said.

House Nigger. Igbokwe is content with contemporary Nigeria whose northern region was unjustly divided by northern military dictators into twenty new political units, while they divided the two southern regions into seventeen political units only.

The military dictators then supervised a constitution that enables three senators from each of the thirty-six states, enables political representations and appointment equally from the 36 states.

This northern region becomes over-represented and near owners of Nigeria.

Joe Igbokwe thus remains a quasi second class citizen due to his ancestry.

And how old is the president of France? 39...how many yrs experience has he?

Not to talk of Vanessa D'Ambrosio, the captain of San Marino, 29yrs.

This is why i'd support Yul Edochie as the governor if i was from his state.

GODKID98:
First of all, the young people do not need the support of APC but without the support of 'the young people' - APC will amount to nothing!!

Secondly-and the most important of all-

When the 'old and experienced' start exhibiting acts of uber cluelessness that are capable of having malignant effects on the future of 'the young people ', then the onus falls on' young people' to seize governance and craft a Federation that will make their unborn generations proud to be called a citizen of that Nation.

Thirdly,
What is stopping 'the old and experienced' from taking 'the young people' under their tutelage and providing expert mentorship to them.
Infact, Mike Muddock once wrote 'why learn from experience what you can learn from mentorship?'

And lastly,
WHERE HAS THE EXPERIENCE OF THE 'OLD AND EXPERIENCED' TAKEN US TO?!.

Let me help you with some of the answers :

Recession... If not for the 'old and experienced', Nigerians would not know of Recession except on the pages of an Economics textbook.

Nigerians are now emphasizing their differences rather than their uniformity.

Massive looting of the Nation's treasury by, none other than, 'the old and experienced' while a greater percentage of the populace continue to wallow in poverty, penury and mediocrity.

What I have been trying to say since the inception of this epistle is this:
Anybody that says that 'the young people' are not fit for leadership because they are inexperienced should be stoned to coma, buried alive, then dug up and cremated before discarding the ashes in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
You said it all bro. This guy is so annoying to listen to. He always talks trash!

The truth is always bitter...no doubt many has crucified igbokwe..with all sorts of hate names...

But wait a minute, where is the youth political party on ground in Nigeria?

Is it not these same youths running errands to carry the "monkey bags" of these old stupid and greedy politicians?

begging them for SA & PA appointments?....Is it not the same youths "wielding cutlass and guns" as thugs to protect these old cargos?

and helping them to snatch ballot boxes to help them rig elections...go and look at the records of those standing for electoral offences..

the old cargos like joe igbokwe is not there...if the youths are serious let them stop dreaming let them first stop to be a political stooge!!
