The statues are part of Imo hall of fame monuments. It's just like asking what an average Lagosian will benefit from the statue of Fela. Most people criticising the statues will have their relatives and even other Africans pose there for pictures just like they do when they visit other countries.

That can not be true. None of those statues would cost as much as N520m. That’s more than £1m.

I think someone has been releasing confusing figures to stir things up. Rochas is foolish,arrogant, narcissistic and full of inferiority complex but I don’t think he would spend that amount to mound those really rubbish. Liberian president statue seem to have been done by a primary school pupil learning how to use clay.

Compare the statue you uploaded to those cement works that would crumble very soon. Look at Sirleaf’s fingers being plastered with cement...those would surely not withstand the elements. How much does that cost imo state?

Rochas is using public fund to finance personal project. What happens when a new govt comes in and those Nebuchadnezzar idols start falling apart? Would Rochas maintain them or expect the imo state govt to continue embalming those nonsense?

Wow. That next youthful governor needs to start now to tell Imo people that he shall rebuild the teaching hospital immediately he/she is elected. Block votes already from that.

Seeing how Okorocha reduced a hospital in which Imo people and their govts had committed tens of billions of Naira since 2002 to establish, seeing how Okorocha made young students get stuck up for about ten years in the institution - all these can make a hard man weep for Imo state.
The 500 million Naira which Okorocha used in Zuma statue could have secured every accreditation of courses in the teaching hospital to free and graduate the students.

Imo state has never had it good after Dr. Sam Mbakwe. Imagine this Rochas Okoro-Hausa, is this the dividends of democracy you promise your people u decieve? May thunder fall on u, u re worst. Watch out, Soon he will receive an award on this rubbish. Kia, Imo alaaaa.

real cost of one statue at 15m ?..... haba. no be sand ..rod ..paint and cement again ? how much to do German floor of entire compound? the total materials for one statue no pass 500k workmanship no pass 1m .

The Governor should channel the money for productive capital projects that will have a positive impact on his people not statues with zero socioeconomic impact.
