We already looked it up and found that history records Zimbabwe Rhodesia as first inventor of V-Hull and MRAP in the whole world.

Who cares about service date? We are talking about date and origin of original invention.

Zimbabwean brain invented MRAP, history records that you Southies traveled to beg and borrow the invention from Zimbabwe.

MRAP and V hull is product of Zimbabwean brain.

"After the unfortunate death of a close relative in a land-mine incident in 1974, inventor Ernest Konschel began exhaustive research on land-mine damaged vehicles and mine craters, ultimately designing and producing the first in a series of dedicated monocoque construction mine resisting vehicles, the Leopard.

This design is a forerunner to many of the mine resistant vehicles developed and used in Southern and Central Africa from that time to the present."

Ah ! Glory thief o ! Your own source did NOT say South African Hippo was the first, it does NOT say so !

Zimbabwe produced the Leopard in 1974, and South Africa went to them to copy it. The Leopard is recorded in world history as the fore-runner of all Southern African MRAPs, the Rhodesians built it in 1974 and that same year South Africa went to Zimbabwe Rhodesia to copy the Zim's invention for transfer to South Africa for production under a new name !

SA invented MRAP technology, whether you like it or not. The government of SA was faced with threats of mines and IEDs from ANC rebels and they were forced to come up with a solution.

We don't change wikipedia, Hippo is the oldest MRAP in the entire world. In fact it was designed in the late 1960s, Wiki is seems to be wrong. It entered service in 1974 with SADF and it was used to harrass ANC's black power. It is very notorious specifically for such things

When leopard was busy designed HIPPO was already in action. Leopard, however never made it. Rhodesian government still imported HIPPOs and BUFFELS from South Africa.

The economy of South Africa is controlled by South African government. It remains the only democratically elected government tasked to regulate the economy.
All this emotional horseshit just to correct some demographics? Zulus are well over 80% of the population. But I get your sentiments: the lower the population of zulus, the less redundant and docile they'll appear. So you say 79% for Zulus but I say 85%. In essence most coloured south Africans are more or else Zulus (black south Africans). They are often blacks mixed with white or other races who are by affiliation, social status and economic class, zulus. This describes most of you half bred Zulus on this forum. Whites often always considers any stain in their race a contamination in all countries that has mixed races.
Whites are also 8% in South Africa and not your 9.1%

Ok, so who owns and runs the economy,? You say the government. Isn't that a dumb, simplistic answer. Everyone knows the Boers/ Afrikaner runs and owns the economy. Zulus can't even feed themselves. In 2015 Zulus still practice subsistent farming not even enough to feed and store up. 6% Afrikaner/white produce the whole food for local consumption and export for south Africa. This group run your defence department, financial/stock market, large firms and corporations. Zulus still wait for handouts and mandatory employments as black birthrights. Mind you south Africa is the only country where majority ethnic group are backed by statutory compulsory employment as if they're in the minority.

What's the cry about Nairaland I heard you say. Whipping up sentiments . South Africans are on an ego massage trip here and have made this thread more argumentative and empty fabricated rhetorics with little fact.http://www.indexmundi.com/south_africa/demographics_profile.html

WHEN ANOTHER SOUTH AFRICAN, MR ERNEST KONSCHEL WAS BUSY DESIGNING HIS LEOPARD IN ZIMBABWE, THE HIPPOS WERE ALREADY IN ACTIVE SERVICE WITH SADF AND SAP.

The “Hippo” was the first mine protected vehicle produced in South Africa, built on a modified Bedford truck (1961) chassis. These vehicles were an interim solution and were not popular with the troops, being slow and cumbersome. Although not favoured, the vehicles fulfilled their task. This Mk1-M series based on the 1970 Bedford chassis, replaced the “R” series of which 150 (1974) were produced for the South African Police, and were used in South West Africa /Namibia. A further 120 were manufactured for the SADF. The vehicle was withdrawn
from service in 1978. To date South Africa is the leading manufacturer of mine protected vehicles. Vehicle displayed is waiting for refurbishing.
