To what end is this your question? Do you have an important decision to make that requires that information?

Depending on the bank and the level, you could earn anything from N40k to N5M monthly. How can compare the salary of a support staff to that of the MD?

I would like to know the average salary a Banker earns in Nigeria because I've searched and I've not gotten any useful information.

Hello,

There are standardised emoluments ranges applicable in the Nigerian Financial industry.Depending on type and level of employment contract.

Averagely, those on contract i.e DSA's to Transaction officers and other subcontracted staff ,not on the bank's direct pay list, a sum ranging from N18,000 to N195,000 depending on the number of years spent on the job is paid averagely:monthly.

For the bank's direct hire, also depending on the grade(number of years on the job isn't much a factor here), the salary ranges from an average of N120,000 to N1.5mm monthly for regular staff(I. e Operation officer/Executive Trainees/Management Trainees to the Manager cadre either confirmed or not). This figure is consolidated with all perks added (Upfront allowances, 13th month, PFP, status car and it's a attendant running costs, Hazards et.Al, location allowances). e.t.c.

However for management staff (Senior Manager to MD and Board membes), I would say 'viewers direction is advised'...because vex go fit make you ask why God no just make Dem born you as Senior a manager from womb direct....it's simply juicy!

Hope with these few points of mine, I have been able to convince you and not confuse you that banking jos is really a fool's paradise ......for the fools actually!

Average monthly take home for graduate entry level: 80-120k pre confirmation. 180-250 after confirmation, Trainee Banking Officer level.

Average monthly take home for Staff in Outsourced Function: 45-80k

Note this is AVERAGE means it could be slightly higher or slightly lower depending on bank
That means Keke drivers earn more than an outsourced bank staff

For Big banks like GTBank, Access, First bank, and Diamond, the entry level salary for fresh graduates is btw 200k to 240k. Contract staff earn btw 50- 90k.
Re: How Much Do Bankers Earn In Nigeria? by HAH: 8:23am On Nov 09, 2017
Op your question vague. There is entry level. officer level, mid management level, and senior management level and there is also contract staff. Which one are you asking for ? Salaries varies from bank to bank but a fair understanding is below

For entry is from 100-250, for officer from 200-500, for mid management from 500-1.2M, for senior management from 800- 3M, and for contract from 50k-120k.

So all those saying bankers are over hyped they don't know real bankers may be they see all those DSA and entry level, staff. My advice to you is don't be DSA, if you are employed as core staff persevere and work hard you will be happy in future, but lest I forget in bank also there is favour from above , nepotism, eye service etc etc

Back in the day my Senior Manager boss was on approx 10k usd per month.

As you go higher you leave the realm of salary and enter bonuses...bonuses can be crazy and unpredictable.

The question needs to be a bit more specific as to level and job function. Also note that Micro finance bankers are to considered. You cannot salary scale of Wema bank to Standard Chartered BANK
Wema pay pass Standard Chartered
