I keep hearing a knocking sound when I start the engine.
It goes down after few seconds.
Now is has graduated to making the sound when am driving
Because of this sound my mechanic has to drop the engine

i use lexus rx330.My problem is that anytime i start my car in the morning or when the engine is completely cold,the steering gear freezes as i turn it.It turns fine without freezing when engine temperature has come up.What is the problem with my car and how expensive will this repair be

Before you start your car in the morning, open the bonnet and watch the level of the power steering fluid and condition of the PS pump belt if your car has one make sure it is tort and no slack or leaks, it is a simple problem since it only happens with cold engine

i checked and found out the steering pump belt is slack,fluid level doesnt drop and is currently ok

My 407 tends to stall atimes.it would not accelerate but the engine would still be running until I switch off and on again.it also shows depollution fault but I plan to have it scanned tomorrow.
