Makes sense.....

The funds have been wasted, no need to cause problems destroying them....

The international reaction would be really bad....
South Africans who always look for excuse to display their xenophobic nature would have the perfect excuse to kill more Nigerians.

People should think well about what and how their actions will affect those in diaspora

Exactly!

No proud country will accept such rubbish behaviour directed at it. The brainless guy just wants to court diplomatic trouble.

Mr man, why should a normal person be owing pension and be going about building statues? Who does that? Should a man who has not paid his kids school fees go around popping champagne in the name of celebrating life?

You need to learn more about how to use these words-Lend and borrow

Mistake: Imo people can’t lend from but can lend to. They can borrow from not borrow to.

Examples:

I want to borrow your pen

I ll lend you my pen

Mr man since virtually all the States are owing pension, contractors or other obligations why should anything be done other than paying up? Your assertion will make sense if widely applied and not selectively.

Abagworo:

How is the hall of fame a vain venture? For Presidents of countries to leave their country to attend the induction ceremony means the hall of fame is highly valuable. It is a clever strategy to put the State on the world map and it's already working.

Please just shut your putrid mouth. Entire Africa cannot be mentioned in a sentence with hall of shame talk less fame. Have you asked yourself why Africa has become synonymous with the word, Black? I guess stupidity cannot be fixed.
Re: Statues Of Obasanjo, Ekwueme, Awolowo, Mbakwe To Be Unveiled By Okorocha by Duru1(m): 2:03pm On Nov 18, 2017
Throwback:

Someone pointed out the stupidity in you agenda to destroy the statues, then you suddenly lost your cool on realising that indeed your agenda is truly aimless when money had already been wasted.

In addition, I am certain that Igbos in Liberia, Ghana and South Africa, will be praying that brainless kin like you do not create a hostile host society for them in those countries, when its citizens watch your topple the statues of their presidents.

Think before you act like an animal without bearing.

You cannot invite international leaders to come grace the unveiling of their statues, only for a new state government to come in and topple it because it never supported it from the onset. Does that action bring the money back into the state purse? Are you ready for the reaction to the diplomatic insult you have projected across International boundaries?

This is conjectural crap born of stark idiocy. What business have people who go about their private businesses in faraway countries got to do with dumbass idea of a fool in Imo State?

A state's duties primarily include carrying out projects which will benefit the masses such as building good roads in addition to paying salaries. Please tell me how these statues affect the well being of Imolites that it can displace the payment of emoluments as a priority.

You dey mind that one?

We're talking about misuse of taxpayers money and some people are just blabbing about the problem being nationwide.

How many governors have wasted such sums doing nothing.
Workers are given crumbs for salary...
Pensioners can barely cater for themselves because of pension fraud or delayed payment...

If Rochas had decided to raise the wages of workers and paid off the Pensioners there'll still be enough change to make or repair or even maintain one or two roads...

Not to talk of the employment those funds could generate if invested on any productive Enterprise.

True federalism is what is needed in this country. The nonexistent fake democracy we are practicing right now is only giving the governors a chance to make several excuses for being inactive and stupid and spendthrift, wasteful and "unserious" in governing their various states.
