Not good. It can affect your work and general concentration. It is even worse when you don't have enough money to sustain the relationship. Flee from such moves

Not good idea dating coworker, just like what @McCoe say.

In addition, coworker can become violence stalker to you once broke up relationship. Even office people at work alway bring rumors/gossips about coworker relationship that affect you too. Some company's policy is not allow anyone employees dating other employees that lead to terminate the job. Not worth!!!

If you and coworker is discreet from anyone(example both different department to work for), I guess it is pretty safe!

Imagine what will happen if, as a man, your date is superior to u and u had to break off.
Your date will simply go and your job will follow grin

lol funny.
My company recently called a meeting and touched on this. Office dating was at an all time high, among the junior staff and their excuse was, they lack sufficient time to mingle outside. Its a very busy company anyway. The company issued a warning saying if 2 staff members decide to date and eventually marry then they must choose btwn them who stays and who goes! They will not have a company full of couples.
Its just crazy. Its not healthy at all. I have seen that the output reduces and people dont take the job serious. Its very easy to overlook a workers mistake cz you are dating them.
Well, since the meeting no staff is allowed to work extra hours unless its an emergency. Staff are literally  'forced' to go home and mingle with the outside world!

I once messed with a co-worker and it did not end well. Ther was no defined relationship . .we were just friends with benefits.

Then a girl came to see me at work and this co-worker couldnt handle it . . she did everything possible to make my life miserable.

I was relieved when she finished her NYSC and had to leave.

not worth it.
