no need to readjust the lnb. just set it at the focal lenght and it should be fine. note however that you need a different type of lnb to recieve w3a as compared to 906/c

w3a is a ku bird while 906/c is c band.

I am in benin city and tracking w3 with my 90cm dish so i can connect microbox, the only TP that hits green
is 12728 H 30000, I can't seem to get any success with the other TP's, Do you have any advice for me?

w3a can be very tricky at times. Since your hitting green on 12728 H 30000, that shows your lnb is working and your dish settings are ok. just tweak the lnb to get the maximum signal quality you can get and tighten up. proceed to blind scan and all other frequencies will jump out. best of luck.

Can some one guide me on how to track W3a with 90cm dish? I live in port Harcourt and I want to know if this satellite is receivable in PHC.

Over to you, but i think A bigger dish say 1.8m is required here.

to track w3a, first start from dstv position. after you have gotten dstv, move your dish to your right and up almost facing the sky. go about it slowly watching the signal bars. use the globecast tp: 12728v, 30,000sr.

Thank you very much Oga George for this piece of info. I will go about it this weekend I believe with the help of my satellite finder meter I don't really need to keep an on the signal bars since it has a tone and a reading from the meter will let me know when the satellite is nailed, cos I have used the meter to nail W4/W7 where I received both DSTV and HItv channels

I would also like to know if it is possible to track Badr4/6 with a 90cm dish here in Port Harcourt.

no, you cannot recieve badr 4/6 with 90cm in ph. the minimum dish size you need is 2.4m solid
pan or fibre.

Oga George I tried to track this satellite but I couldn't hit green on it. I need more on this.

i'm so sorry about your inabilty to track w3a. sometimes, that bird is like that. i remember the last time i tried to track it at the countryside, it took me close to 2hrs to finally nail it.

what you can do, if the globecast tp (12728v, 30000sr) does not work for you then try 11192v, 3210sr (mbc mauritius).
make sure your lnb is at 9 o'clock position facing east. move your dish slowly upwards and to your right from dstv position. if signal does not come up after a couple of trys, change the polarity from v to h, i.e 11192h, 3210sr.

you can also try with 10976v, 3333sr (TV Malagasy).

I only chance at weekend and more so from my meter it indicates that the satellite a little up above dstv position and I get high signal b
ut hitting green is the problem. I will do as you said this weekend and get back to you God bless you my brother.

Oga George I did as you said this evening though not for a long time yet cud not hit green on this bird. is there some thing that I am missing.tracking dstv position is no problem but if move my dish up a bite my meter reading increases but no green.

In ph tracking w3a can be tricky
From my experience in PH track w3a to the left of dstv and not right when standing behind the dish.
You can use sirus 4 on 12605v 29950 as refrence. When you hit green, input 12728v30000 For w3a and lower dish a bit to the left.

you'll be wise to stick with astra 2b. if you want a new veiwing experience-as you call it- then plan on getting another dish for w3a.

Stick with Astra 2B. It offers variety and better programming. Mixed news from BBC, Al-Jaz, France24E, CNN, sports, Nigerian Movies, sports, movie series (Lee San) and music channel.

Though he didn't say if he uses an mpeg4 decoder. If so, Astra is far more entertaining. You can't compare the two birds except you don't understand English.

jst install w3a with tp 12607H29949 using 30cm dish on my 69x but after blind scan i got only 13channels they are: voxAFRICA, canal 2,3,info, bvn, stv1, occa Africa without mbc mauritius. What should i do to get mbc?
