When u read this through this thread very well, u will know that the stations u got are not on W3A, and that a 30cm dish can't hit that bird. Go on and read.

this is more of sirius4 other than w3a channels. Go a little bigger dish&track w3a&not sirius to get mbc, malagasca etc use lcf tp 12728

I just nail this bird w3a but yet to do blind scan to really get other channels but I got TPA1, ZIMBO MTA and some other scrambled channel.
I will do a blind scan and report back to the house

w3a&sirius 4 are very close. What u should do is insert the new tp&re track until u get green pop up. Go to lyngsat w3a to get the tps for mbc&malagasc. Then insert in the w3a on the receiver the track

W3A is a hell of a tricky bird to track, in remember sometime ago, i spent about 3hrs tracking this bird, but yesterday it doenst take me more than 5 minute to hit green on 12728h30,000,

The almighty W3a was nailed on Saturday without much stress maybe this bird is some how co operating now. I got STV TVM TV ZIMBO MBC1 and some other channels that I can't remember their names now

To track this bird, what strong model is best for this and how do on set the lnb to either 6 or 9 o, clock.

just use 12728v30,000

and use sirius4 as ur reference point/

I just nail that bird right about now using 12520 v 27500 and it does not take 5 mins before i was able to do just that. thanks for the tip tkenny. doing a blind search for now, but still i could not get mbc

TRACKING W3A MADE SIMPLE.
1. Locate a dstv dish near your area as that will give the idea of where yur EAST is . NOTE that dstv is on w4/7. Start by tracking w4/7 with 11940 H 27500, put yur lnb at 9 0'clock.
2. When u have tracked w4/7, hold yur dish in place and input  Sirius 4 frequency 12605 V 29950 . Standing in front of your dish, Lift your dish up to face the sky and down while you move slowly to the left of dstv dish. When you get Sirius 4 hold your  dish there and input this 12728 V 30000, for w3a and bring your dish down slightly and bring it back to your right a little . Just work around Sirius 4 for w3a. The sat will turn green , then blind scan or use lyngsat to add other channels
But for those in port harcourt , try this method in opposite direction.

Still finding it challenging to get mbc, what do i need to do?.

your post is not clear. Is it  that you have tracked w3a and you are not receiving mbc? If yes what dish size and what freqs are you receiving? What is your present signal level?

Which of these satellite have more free sports stations? is it sirus or w3a?

I tot i was living in 7th cloud with Astra2b but dis your discussion on W3A seems interesting. From abeokuta what dish size should i use to get it? I have 30cm and 90cm for both Astra2b and w4/7 respectively. Am using 4910.

i've been finding it difficult to nail sirus @ least 70% wit my 180cm dish
but my 90cm is hitting 79%
i will continue tomorrow

If you love football then MBCs on W3A airs at least one EPL weekly, Tue/Wed Champions league, Thur/Fri EU League. additional other channels may air other matches or same last week Canal 3 aired live one Champions league either Barca, MBC aired Man U, didn't watch on wednesday, plus sirius with a dedicated dish also shows some interesting matches.

My setup gives me W3A and Sirius on a single dish with one LNB, the channels that come up with the dedicated dish don't show up.  If you want those channels you must have a dish dedicated to sirius at least 45cm and hitting 95% quality on freq 12605v29950.  joy comes when you move blindly during a live event.  don't forget to store it and switch to check whenever there is live event. hope you code

For the best of all round infotainment on 90cm dish, astra 2b is the best followed by either w3a/sirius4

Yes. I do on a 90cm. But ensure that when one satellite signal is received on horizontal polarity, the other is on vertical and vice versa.

If Eutelsat W3A is on 7 deg and sirius 4 at 5 deg, then at 6 degrees you can nail the two birds but sacrifice some channels namely the BBC persia package on W3A and etv and cape town 1 on sirius 4. I am a technician and have hit the two birds in at least three jobs in Kenya.

Great Info and Good job. But its kinda hard 2 sacrifice etv.
