magaddai: @ Magaddai, That was a "stray signal" you got to catch AIT Kaduna. I cant explain that but you MIGHT not get it again. What is the size of your dish and LNB make? @ George D, Olofofo, Enitan2002, Pls your opinion is important on this. |
Re: Strong Receivers Thread by magaddai(m): 12:29pm On Jul 20, 2010 |
The dish size is 90cm & Strong LNB, wth 69x decoder. Pls Hotwire i want to get details of how u were able to get MultiTV, Nilesat & Madagascar on one dish using 3LNBs. PLS!!! |

Dear Naijarians in da house. I dont know if am in the right thread but i'll be glad if u all can help out. I just get a new SRT4669X with d info: CARD READER: CONNECTED S/W VERSION: 1.07P (DEC 8 2009) H.W VERSION: 1.00 BOOT VERSION: 2.00 CH VERSION: AUG 26 2009 My problem is that after several trials am able to ricieve MULTI TV and CRTV. I tried the frequencies i obtain from lyngsat for iNFINITY: 12543.H.20800 GHANA TV: 12572.V.2854; LMTV: 12729.V.2725 all to no avail. My questions are: 1. Wat can i do again to recieve these three channels? 2. What can i do to maximise the usage of the 9x? (i stay at abeokuta, i use dish of 60m or so but its smaller than that of the DSTV) 3. How can i remove the nagging MYTV startup screen? 4. What dish size i need to recieve Nilesat 4 me to watch MBC et all? I'll be glad if u guyz can help out on this thread. If not an offence the reply can also be sent to my email: olakunlekan@gmail.com as i find it difficult to follow up with the thread ATTIMES. Thanks and God bless y'all cos y'all makin US proud. PROUDLY NAIJA. |

@ twinskenny pls help out. |
Re: Strong Receivers Thread by alancruise(m): 8:14pm On Jul 31, 2010 |
@legit, first make sure ur signal level 4 multitv hits 85-90% before lmtv wil pop green on ur screen come. As for infinity, just insert d tp 12545H20800. U can change d polarity to v if it does not work. Now do a blindscan of all,am sure gtv wil pop up. In increasin ur signal strength,u might just need to tweaklin ur lnb to get d maximum signal. Hope this help's 1 Like |
Re: Strong Receivers Thread by 2legit2qt(m): 9:24pm On Jul 31, 2010 |
@alancruise thanks 4 d support, i tried the frequency 4 infinity bt stil not coming up. its late already bt 2mrow i'll tweak my lnb as u said if d signal improves i'll also try the frequncy again 4 infinity maybe den it'll com up. Gist u lata. @all @alancruise i use code 6969 on my 4669x and it showed PATCH OFF, i tried it again and it says PACTH ON. If d patch is OFF does that mean i can do some "MAGIC" with the decoder or what? if i can, pls wat and wat can i do? coz i need 2 maximise d usage. Abeg all. |
Re: Strong Receivers Thread by 2legit2qt(m): 2:59pm On Aug 01, 2010 |
@alancruiser, @ all thanks for yesterday. i tried adjusting my lnb which brings my multi tv quality signals to 85 but the lmtv and infinity channels still refuse to pop up, as a matter of fact the frequency of infinity did not turn GREEN at all while that of lmtv is green yet no channel pops ups. pls wat can i do again? Also, how can i get rid of the MYTV start up screen? |
Re: Strong Receivers Thread by twinskenny(m): 4:28pm On Aug 01, 2010 |
Pls legit use 90cm dish for a better reception, And make sure ur signal strength is around 85% then blind scan, trust me other channels will pop up, |
Re: Strong Receivers Thread by Nobody: 6:16pm On Aug 01, 2010 |
2legit2qt: @2legit2qt, u need to manually delete all those tps den tweak 'ur lnbf (10'o clock position is d optimum 4 d bird).u can get as high as 98% on d multi tv tp:12551 V 19531 on a 60cm offset dish(i tried it myself). Input d tps 4 ltm,gtv & infinity,it should turn green.if does not then blindscan, but d process of blind scanning takes time. D tps will surely come up. get back to d house with d results. |

@alancruise @twinskenny @kinmen2004 After comingback from Church and taking a bowl of Eba with Okro soup, i get down to deal with my LNB. After several painstaking and patient trials i was able to get 92% at 6 o'clock position (take note kinmen2004). Then i manual serach on the Infinity frequency and voala it pop up like a popcorn on the hot stove. Right now i have GTV, MULTI, INFINITY, CRTV. The only left to do now is to try d 10 0/clock position and see if LMTV will pop up. Thanks 2 all u guyz in the house, av really learnt a lot these few days. Get back 2 u all wen am done with 10 o,clock spot. Abeg make una address d issue of the MyTV start-up screen abeg, i wan remove dis thing. How i go do am? d whole house Plssssssssssssss, |
Re: Strong Receivers Thread by 2legit2qt(m): 8:13pm On Aug 01, 2010 |
@kinmen2004 i hope the 10 o'clock is from facing the dish? |
Re: Strong Receivers Thread by twinskenny(m): 7:39am On Aug 02, 2010 |
@2legit, U are a funny guy, Just blind scan lmtv will pop up, trust no need to adjust ur lnb again |

@twinskenny @alancruise Today b4 leaving 4 work, i just say make i check my lovely 4669x and b4 u could say Jack Robinson, i don recieve LTM TV. But d issue is dat my LNB is still @ 6 o'clock spot and Multi Tv signal quality is still at 90-92%. But out of curiousity am still going to try alancruise 10 o'clock spot 4 d lnb and c if it increases d signal quality. Thanks 2 d whole house, i now enjoy INFINITY, MULTI, GHANA, CRTV & LTM TVs uninterrupted. But am still baffled y people stil patronize d shylock likes of DSTV wen there is channels like dis. i dont c any difference between DSTV and INFINITY with MULTI TV. They both av Nigerian home video, sports, news & cartoons. Abeg, u guyz r d bomb!!!!. |
Re: Strong Receivers Thread by microgiant: 2:33pm On Aug 02, 2010 |
2legit2qt: Infinity is a PayTV, it will soon be encrypted. |
Re: Strong Receivers Thread by 2legit2qt(m): 3:48pm On Aug 02, 2010 |
@microgiant Waow, so infinity is a paytv, one gets 2 learn 1 thing or the other frm NL anyway. So i got 2 njoy it while it last, even at that MultiTv will still b on (4 along time i guess.) |
Re: Strong Receivers Thread by 2legit2qt(m): 1:47pm On Aug 04, 2010 |
@ ALL Am sorry to disappoint you guyz, but my signal quality & signal strength are both at 97% & 98% respectively and its still at the 6 o'clock spot, wit my 60cm dish here at Abeokuta and all channels are crystal clear with bonus channels like BLW PASTORS and Tandberg, showing. Thanks 2 you all, But Twinskenny, alancruise, kinmen2004 i read from the 1st page of the thread of FTA on NL that if i download the firmware of 4669x from strong tech website and load it, it will remove the MyTV start-up screen. How far is this true? and if true, where in lagos can i get a NULL MODEM to buy? thanks |
Re: Strong Receivers Thread by alancruise(m): 2:01pm On Aug 04, 2010 |
Dat's good 4u, dat's is just d spirit behind FTA,we learn,we gain, and we do it all by ourselves. My advice is if u av a good signal at 6 o clock position,no need to adjust it. Congrat once more. |
Re: Strong Receivers Thread by 2legit2qt(m): 2:50pm On Aug 05, 2010 |
thanks alancruise. |
Re: Strong Receivers Thread by owokasib: 12:15am On Aug 09, 2010 |
My SRT4669X came installed with the MyTv boot up logo which I succeeded in removing from my old SRT box with strong's update. I therefore downloaded the latest update from Strong website and soon realised that it has thesame MyTv theme. I resorted to using the update 'SRT4669ME_7111_ALL_109p_20100702'. It served my purpose but resulted in a discoloration of the receiver's video output. An attempt to revert to the update from the Strong's website 'failed'. By the way, I do not have the RS 232 cable. Please advice. |
Re: Strong Receivers Thread by 2legit2qt(m): 7:34pm On Aug 09, 2010 |
@owokasib Its quiet un4tun8 dat ur 9x behave dat way cos i av a 9x also dat i just bought and i use precisely dat software but mine says wrong software and it didn't load it. I tried it several times cos i learnt dat it can open some bouquets but each time i try loading it my 9x keeps rejecting it. Anyway, i load some other patches which i find of no use, hence, i have to revert back 2 d original software and NO PROBLEM. Contact me on: olakunlekan@gmail.com so i can upload the original SRT4669X_7111_My TV_107P_081209.stb for you. Am sure if u use it, it'll revert back your 9x to its original state. GOOD LUCK. |

Gurus I need your rescue on this o My SRT 4653x which had power problem was restored and it is no longer responding to the remote control I have taken it to the tech whom fix the power and he said it is the remote censor but like it is now it is obvious that guy does not really know the cause for this and he has returned it back to me does this mean that I can no longer fix cos I still need this box to be doing some tracking while my 4669x will be doing the viewing. Please I need an urgent advise |
