They told her to hope for tomorrow A day void of trouble and suffering Where dreams and whishes come to life Where sorrow and pain are nowhere to be found And so she believed and hoped To plant her feet on the aisles of tomorrow Where her life would begin from the end of the cartoons But no one told her it's all a mirage That happy ever after only exist in Utopia While she fixed her mind on the romance of the Philippine movies No one told her that the sun rises even after the honey moon She hopes to cross the shores of today to find tomorrow But what lies beyond the shores of today is another today She is so scared of the storms of today But that storm is not passing, it's here to stay So she should stop getting scared and start getting equipped to withstand and overcome For beyond the storm lies a gentle ocean If only she could be told that we are not meant to survive today hoping for tomorrow We are meant to live today and live it to it's fullest.
