I have been in a similar situation where the woman concealed the fact that she was married and even recently had a baby. Albeit temporarily separated at the time. Only her oozing breast milk made me put her on the spot. Then she confessed, crying. That she waited and couldn't wait anymore and got married.

We cannot continue deflecting blame to only the men all the time.
