Just today, a thread made front page where Programme Manager, National LPG Expansion Implementation Plan (Office of the Vice-President), Dayo Adeshina estimated that about 90% Nigerians use expired cooking gas cylinders. Here is the thread if you missed

As we all know, this is a very big issue which calls for concerns as it involves the safety of Nigerians.

Having read this news and imagining the dangers this could pose if the news and the analysis are anything to go by, it was brought to my remembrance the exciting news we all heard at the inception of this government.

At the time this government was newly inaugurated, the then NNPC GMD, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu told us about NNPC's plan to give all house hold free Gas Cylinders. the news was carried by major news outlets and even graced nairaland front page. Here are the links

Alot of Nigerians where excited at the news and salivating to have the free gas cylinders and were already heaping praises on President Buhari and Dr Kachikwu. So what killed the promise?

This brings me to the question of "Where are the promised free gas cylinders?"

If NNPC supplies these free gas cylinders to all households as promised, wouldn't it reduce the existence of expired gas cylinders in our households?

SO I ASK, WHERE ARE THE PROMISED FREE GAS CYLINDERS TO ALL NIGERIAN HOUSEHOLDS BY NNPC?
