HIPROFILE: Mr man, thanks for your power consumption rate calculation. I also observed other peoples loads to power generation calculations. The only thing missing in this criticism of this project is that the core purpose of the project is not understood by the critics. Firstly, the project is sited at a Village. Secondly,Solar Hybrid Mini Grid is always designed to have a maximum 100KW power generation capacity. Actual power generated will be lower. Solar Hybrid Mini Grid is a rural electrification grid designed for few loads. In Kenya, the Germany International Development Agency GIZ was involved in this project few years ago. This project in Ogun State might have been implemented & supported by the organization that white man represents. Hybrid Grd combines solar, wind and in some cases hydro with generator backup. The purpose is to give rural communities power. If the pilot project works, it will be replicated in other rural communities. Solar Hybrid Mini Grid is not all about solar panels & the project concept & design is different from computer village or Alaba market design. Let us observe this pilot project. https://www.giz.de/en/worldwide/25332.html 1 Like |

Dollyak: It is a village, what load do you expect them to have if not light and fan? |

All these vision less political heavy weights the cost of commissioning the ordinary 85KW is more than the cost of the energy out put from the system . |

Hmmm. I am a Nigerian, from the North. 10 years from now, southern Nigeria is going to be the destination of choice. Their leaders are putting measures in place for the next level of development. Lagos making critical laws, forming relevant courts, looking forward to uninterrupted power. Ogun commissioning factories... Northern leaders... Busy pushing the "northern agenda"of forever enthroning themselves for all eternity and going up n down endorsing inept administrations. Their youths busy saying "Allah ya this, Allah ya that"; rubbing them blind yet they can't see past religious and ethnic sentiments. No industries, no education, no true security. It's sad. 1 Like 2 Shares |

Dollyak:That was what I was telling sarrki. Solar is expensive and hardly meets energy demands. |

Shoremekun disclosed that a total number of 550 households would be benefited from the project, added that the Solar Hybrid Mini Grid in the community comprised of 85KW Solar, 45KW Diesel generator with the electricity distributed of over 5.2KW Mini Grid with metering for payment serving the whole community. Dollyak:Vanguard Reported this.... When a project is a Solar Hybrid System.... It comprises of different modes of energy generation. The Solar is only 85KW. The poster did not include this information. Just wanted to clear the air. 1 Like |
