This is a blatant lie. Deeper life never saw other Christians as evil. I attended that church in my childhood and formative years. I attended that church in the 80s and 90s They never said television was evil but they were against it cos they felt it could corrupt the mind(depending on what you watch),and believed it was better to abstain from watching TV to prevent temptations that could arise from immoral acts seen on TV,especially for children. Over the years,a lot of people have twisted the whole thing. Deeper life never said nobody should go to hospital. Way back,we used to have retreats and in those retreats,there were medical centres for treating people who took I'll during the retreat. My friend's mother whose father was a pastor then in the church, was a nurse and she was always at the medical centres. I don't know where most of you usually get your fables from.

Your post is laced severally with untruths @OP. I attended that church for nearly 30years. From as far back as the early 80s Kumuyi has always been on suits and never for once preached against such. Same as being happy when sick, haba! Fear God o. I agree on TV and handkerchiefs but not in totality.
Mind you I do not attend the church again based on personal conviction to go else where not because I disagree with anything. I however won't because inam no longer a member shy away from correcting wrong impressions.

In every sect we have extremists but do not generalise, Kumuyi attends and preaches in other churches from as far back as 1986. We however have heard of over zealous pastors and members who pushed extremity to its limits. Because you met a few members of the church who are extremists doesn't mean all are. Just like all Moslems aren't terrorists. Learn to tolerate people else you become an extremist yourself.

The people are the ones who are simply too dumb to understand what he said back then, and it has shown that some of you are still dumb that you still do not understand what the Man of God Meant by "Television is the Devil's workShop(tool)".... When the bible says " Money is the root of All evil" does it mean that we shouldnt have money or spend money? so when the Man of God said tv is the Devil's work shop (which is still is and hasn't changed, cos most youths are who they are today because of what they watch on tv) does he mean that you shouldn't own a tv? I'm a member of Deeper Life, and I serve God in the right way,but I'm not an extremist and I know a great deal of deeper life people that aren't extremists at all.Yeah,There are people who take their own religion to the extreme but I think you find those everywhere even in islam.And you can argue with me that they're a bit more common in deeper life,and i'll agree,but that doesn't give you right to generalize it.NOT ALL OF US ARE BIGOTS.That's not even part of the doctrine, those people just manufacture theirs.NOT ALL OF US THINK OTHERS ARE EVIL.SOME OF US ARE COOL,HOSPITABLE WORSHIPPERS.Please ,stop all this stereotype.

It's not in d name of God said dis & d@. His teachings re teachings of demons & trickery of his heart, cunning craftiness. He is an apostate who broke away 4rm d truth.

When the commandments did not come from God, but from men, it is so. It would be wiser for the leaders of these churches to listen to the voice of God and thus avoid a bad direction of the flock.
