Barely two weeks after the release of some lecturers prospecting for oil at the Chad Basin, the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC,has concluded arrangement to recommence exploration activities at the basin, Managing Director of NNPC,Maikanti Baru,has said.
Oil exploration activities at the Chad Basin was suspended for months due to the abduction of the three lecturers from the University of Maiduguri which raised fresh security concerns.
Baru,who led a team of the company’s top management staff to the Kaduna International Trade fair on Wednesday said the NNPC has discovered four locations in the BenueTrough which has renewed its hope on the prospect of an oil find in the basin and is ready to go back.
“On the Lake Chad oil exploration,we have been working tirelessly and we thank the President for rescuing some of the lecturers that were involved in the exploration in the region.We are going back to the Chad Basin with full force,” He said.

You will never see them working towards state police with full force

You will never see them working towards Nigerian student receiving allowance every week or month

You will never see them working towards making our health centre equipped with full force

You will never see them working towards making the local government having autonomy with full force

The search for oil in the north is a task that must be completed even if it takes a thousand years, even if the enemy pigs wail and gnash their teeth till kingdom come. You folks are quick to point out that we are parasites on Niger delta oil (as if you aren't parasites yourselves), but when it comes to prospecting for crude oil on our own land y'all turn into bad belle haters. It's just a matter of time for oil to be discovered in commercial quantity in lake Chad basin and possibly Benue trough. Maybe that's God's plan to tame the terrorists aka militants in the Nd - with oil in the north, they blow up pipilines in the creeks at their own peril.

If NNPC should spend half of the money in the East, they would discovered oil in large quantity,but they won't... nobody wants to see oil in that region.
