nwabobo:I think this confirms the saying that this Buhari is an impersonator! However Guardian is bias! I expect that they would call out the law makers who have refused to impeach Mr president despite all his contempt for our constitution which is very glaring They are setting a wrong anticident! I hope they know that if another person does it and they decides to impeach the person, it will be termed "witch-hunting" Our leaders are our problem in the country! 4 Likes 2 Shares |

No doubt that the south can get a credible and competent leader. As long as d northern and southern Nigeria exist as a single entity, this country will never progress. The selfish and uneducated northerners are always there to ruin it cos their lives solely depends on nigerian politics. 1 Like |

ameri9ja: Problem with Buhari is not just corruption. That is the least of the problems. Buhari is very incompetent. He is clearly a tribalist. And a religious bigot. There are a lot of people out there that can replace Buhari and do a much better job. Buhari is the worst President Nigeria have had so far. He is not qualified to be President at all. 2 Likes |

I will agree with this writer on some points like; the reinstatment of the NHIS boss, the killings whether the view of the government that the act is being carried out by foriegners or not, I would have expected the government to make immediate policy like giving a short time period for all cattle farmers to go into ranching and stop the open grazing which according to the government the killers are hiding under to carry out their evil. Once there is ranching, anyone who goes out to kill people can easily be termed a terrorist. Apart from those points, I don't believe we should blame the president on the other issues whether Buhari or Jonathan. You see our major problem as a nation is that we always ask for accountability from the president, every body always focus on that office as against starting from the lowest level and move up. For instance, I am aware that this buhari government gave out initial #10billion to some selected state governors of which Ebonyi and Anambara states were selected in the south East. The aim was for the money to be used to empower farmers, open up irrigations in farm sites so that we can start having dry season farming and food would become surplus. In all of that, I am yet to see the governors from the south East to carry out that lofty ideas after about three years now. And where is the money, it has been retired as used when there is nothing on ground to show for it. But who Will nigerians blame for high cost of food? as usual it is mr President while our immediate brothers that we should hold accountable are not even remembered when we start agonizing. You look at the issue of Niger delta where government has the following measures in place; 13% derivative being given to the governors from Niger delta every month, the ministry of niger delta being headed by niger delta indigens since it's creation and government have been making billions of naira allocations to the ministry since then with the sole aim of developing the region by their own indigens, what of the NDDC also created by government with the sole aim of developing the region and it's also being headed by their indigens since it's creation with billions of naira allocations to the commision, and the most recent the amnesty program for the same people of Niger delta and still being headed by their own indigens. What I am saying is that in all of these go to Niger delta you will never notice impact of those policies and resources being pumped into the region through their own indigens. They have shared the money and when we want to ask for accountability, we overlook those our brothers who are our real enemies and focus all our attention to the president and start calling him unprintable names. Look at the issue of corruption where Mr President has shown enough will to deal with. But each time they managed to arraign anyone in the court, the judiciary will sit on the matter until you will never hear about the the matter again or the person is set free through the back door. You hear all sorts of jagons like the matter was not proved beyond reasnable doubt even in a clear case of stealing. And when we want to criticize you hear ridiculous statements like, he said he is fighting corruption how many convictions have they had. As if Mr President will also be the judge. We leave the real people holding us at ransom and go after the wrong ones. So until we shift our stand and start asking for accountability at the right quarters, dividends of good governance will continue to elude us at our various local levels. 1 Like |
