The Presidency says the Federal Government used what it termed “backchannel negotiations” to facilitate the release of pupils of Government Girls Science Technical College (GGSTC), Dapchi, Yobe State.

This was according to Mansur Dan Ali, Minister of Defence, and Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture, who briefed State House Correspondents shortly before the commencement of the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting on Wednesday.

The Presidency in a statement via its official Twitter handle, further confirmed that no ransome was paid to secure the release of the girls.

Which kain lie be dis bikonu
This government should be truthful for once, at least ,for the sake of the generations unborn. So that, they too will have some lies left to be told in their own time.
You mean after wasting their bullets, petrol and other miscellaneous while kidnapping these innocent girls, they released them just like that?
Unless you have something else that you have not told us about this kidnapping, I refuse to believe you.

And no prisoner exchange agreement? Come on guys, Book Haram can't just be sweet-talked into releasing the girls.

Thank God the girls are out though. That's the most important thing

Of couse, why will destructive govt of buhari pay ransom when deadly boko-Haram, responsible for thousands of deaths and destruction of properties have been transformed miraculously into a peaceful and merciful terrorist group that value lives. Is this not what buhari's govt is insinuating?
Well done to APC. Bunch of Pathological Liars!

If you don't know how government tackles terrorism just don't comment because of hate. Countries all over the world don't agree paying for ransome even when they've paid, they do it to discourage those intended to venture into kidnapping business. Last two year when Taliban released a captured American soldier sergeant Bagdallh in return of Taliban commanders held in Guatamo Bay prison. America paid ransome including exchange of prisoners but America denied paying it. Not until when Edwin Snowdan of Wikileaks leaked it. Same thing with Israelis they pay ransome to Hamas terrorist for the release of captured Israel defence force (IDF) Once again government don't accept they pay ransome same thing with oil companies in PH if their expatriates are kidnapped they pay ransome for their release but don't disclose it to the public at least I know of this because I am an insider in oil company issues.
