It's no longer news that president Muhammadu Buhari, other wise known as PMB has signify his intentions to seek the renewal of his mandate to lead Nigeria for another four years, beginning from may 29 2019.
As expected, mixed reactions has trailed the sudden announcement. While his supporters, (including yours truly), see it As a welcome development,' the opposition, led by none other than the People's Democratic Party ( PDP) have condemn the president's decision.
Yours truly finds it expedient to weigh the chances of the retired general in all the states of the federation, in order to put things into a proper perspective, with special focus on the states the president is likely to win in each of the six geo - political zones of the country:

North East: Comprising of six states, Namely- Borno, Adamawa, Yobe, Gombe , Bauchi and Taraba
The president will win in all the states in this zone except Taraba, because of it larger Christian population and the fact that it's traditionally a pdp state.

North west: The only zone with seven states and also the president zone - Kaduna, Kano, Jigawa, Katsina, Zamfara, Sokoto and Kebbi
President Buhari will have a clean sweep here.

North Central: Six states - Plateau, Niger, Nassarawa, Kogi, Benue and Kwara

Five for the retired general in this zone,' Plateau and Benue will definitely not vote him

South West: Six states - Osun, Ogun, Ondo,Oyo, Ekiti and Lagos
Another clean sweep for Mr President in the south west, the zone will be eyeing the coveted seat come 2023 and voting PMB for a second term would get them closer to it than any other person from any other person from another party.

I would not bother to analyse the remaining two zones of the south east and south south, as everyone know that the pdp is strong there and would likely win all the eleven states that made up the two zones,' but Buhari might manage to draw 25% of the votes in Edo, Delta and IMO. whichever ever way you might look at it, Mr Buhari seem to be going nowhere any time soon, much to the delite of we the Buharists.

Ebonyi state governor has openly declared that he will mobilise votes for Buhari, so you can count that one for APC too. Governors are very powerful.

Even with the hard bite of the Fulani herdsmen, he will certainly mobilise Ebonyi voters for Buhari.

How is it lame?

He even conceded all the 11 states in the SE and SS to PDP.

You should try to critique his analysis rather than dismiss it.

He couldn't even classified the states properly putting kaduna in North central instead of north west. And declaring every state to be cleared by buhari.
Even with northern gang up against Gej, he won plateau, nassarawa and Taraba.
Come 2019 with northern candidate and the Hunger in the land, insecurities and open incompetence of buhari, pdp will win more states in the north with benue, adamawa, gombe, kogi, kaduna, jigawa and kwarai at play.
Similarly, ekiti is pdp lockdown while Ondo,Oyo and osun are toss up even Lagos is a battleground. Buhari of now has been demystified as an incompetent and narrow president.

The truth might be bitter but better been said. PMB has the majority north that do come out with massive votes unlike social media critics in the south without voters card. In the 2015 elections, PMB total votes from Kano alone override the six states in the south.

u can't compare 2015 to 2019. Wait for a surprise 2019. Any northerner that contest against pmb in 2019 will definitely win.

What kind of quack political analyst are you Mr. op? You don't know that Kaduna is in the north west and not north central, you don't know that it is the northwest that has seven states and not north central. You don't even factor in changing political demographics like Kwara that might be depending on whether saraki chooses to support PMB or not, Nassarawa that has always voted against PMB, Ekiti that has voted for PDP consistently over the past eight years, Kogi that is obviously sick and tired with the APC government in that state. And you failed to also add that should the PDP and other political parties field a heavyweight northerner as their candidate, such a candidate would most likely beat Buhari in his own home state or the probability that APC congresses that is scheduled to hold nationwide could potentially lead to political clashes and manoeuvring within their ranks which could in turn mean that a lot of the players in the APC today might not be with them by the time the elections come around. Political Analysis deals with probabilities, variables and Varying scenarios not one deluded individual just sitting down and willy nilly awarding states to candidates in an election that will hold in about a year time. A year is a very long time in politics because anything can happen within that period

He didn't add the FCT Abuja which is not counted as a state but belongs in the North Central. Though the FCT doesn't count with 25% of 2/3 votes just adds to the number of the voters population.
