Yeah... I have been an ample follower of Pipul TV since I learnt about them... If you need to know, they are the real scare for Pay TV in Nigeria. Okay... Pipul TV is a new pay tv platform that saw a loophole in DsTV agreement and quickly sat on it. DsTV made agreement on distributing content using Satellite and when IPTV came in, Pipul TV quickly sat on it. All you need to buy is the device.. No Installation Fee... No Dish required... just the device that sits in your home streaming the content to you. Mind you, you dont need to buy data for it because everything is inbuilt and network is not an issue if you need to know... Their channel list? Pipul TV will feature at least 53 different channels that will broadcast live and repeated sports and related content from the following: Olympic Games IAAF World Championships Athletics Basketball Wrestling Boxing Cricket Cycling Golf Tennis Horse Racing Hockey Mixed Martial Arts Rugby Union Rugby League Formula One FOOTBALL FIFA Competitions UEFA Competitions CAF Competitions Nigerian Football Leagues Nigerian Grassroots Competitions Nigerian International Friendly Matches Barclays Premier League English FA Cup English Football League Cup Spanish La Liga Spanish La Cope Del Rey German Bundesliga Italian Serie A Dutch Eredivisie Scottish Professional Football League The United States Major League Soccer Chinese Super League... and lots more They have over 19000 on demand titles including Arrows and Suits TV Series amongst others ....

nairalandbuzz: What do you mean by this statement? Stop spreading unsubstantiated rumours. Give hard facts. All what you have quoted in this write up is no different from the Kwese TV and Tstv threads which in the end turned out to be false rumours. Like I said until this Pipul TV is launched,I will just treat your thread as rumours, but from the pictures you have posted and the cost of doing business in Nigeria and a visit to the Pipul TV website.....it can not work and if it does it will be a pleasant surprise. 2 Likes |

Dantedasz: If you are offended by that statement, I apologise. As you have said, we should wait till its launched but do know that the platform this runs is far different from the one TSTV, DSTV and Kwese runs. They run totally based on IPTV. Probably they are using a private tunnel on GSM platforms... who knows... but the distributors are already using it according to the distributors... but lets just wait and see... |

I just read about them some minutes ago. They should also focus on selling data as cheap as possible. That would give people reason to buy them. All plans should come with atleast 100gb data. After all, streaming hd contents they want to offer will consume a lot of data. So giving people free data will encourage a lot of people. |
Re: Pipul TV - All You Need To Know by nairalandbuzz(m): 8:30pm On Apr 18, 2018 |
EarthXmetahuman: I doubt that... Because that would bombard their channel I think... In as much as we don't have 100Mbps network flowing with telecoms here in Nigeria, it won't really make sense to do such as you would be surprised that the video streaming quality won't make sense... But as time goes on and as we have broadband penetration in Nigeria, we should expect upgrades from them... |
Re: Pipul TV - All You Need To Know by EarthXmetahuman: 9:20pm On Apr 18, 2018 |
nairalandbuzz: according to their website, they said 80% of their channels are in HD while some are in 4k and few in standard definition. Streaming 4k content is no joke. 8 minutes of 4k content is like 1gb. You need 100mbit to stream 4k content smoothly. Streaming SD alone for 1hr consumes a lot of data. They also promised 19k videos on demand. They must hav invested serious money into broadband to promise all that. It will be complete false advertising if they do not offer atleast something close which should attract serious lawsuit. Someone promising all that shouldnt have problem dishing out few gigabytes as incentives for their customers. 4 Likes |

What does the above prove exactly? Where is your vaporware product? Which magic are you going to use to broadcast Sky and BT stations online in Nigeria? Is this a piracy thing? I know many shady sites that advertise and sell piracy IPTV just like this one you are advertising. |

We are pleased to finally announce that the Pipul TV box will go on sale from early August 2018. However, selected enthusiasts will be availed of the box from mid-July (a few earlier) to troubleshoot and criticise this service (as unbiased members of the Nigerian public) so we can make last-minute improvements before opening our doors in early August. Our website and social media handles will be updated accordingly within the next 10 days. Despite repeated and varied requests, we have never announced any launch date. We only stressed that the World Cup will be experienced on the Pipul TV network. Many people erroneously assumed that to be rollout. Please revisit our statements. Our distributors and selected members of the public will be availed of this service for test runs. Selected experience centres will be published (in due time) for members of the public to experience. The soft launch is scheduled for late July and full commercial roll out in early August. We have observed with dismay as several people have either concluded we are deceitful or that we have failed. We appreciate your disappointments (for the inability to watch the World Cup on our streaming platform from the comfort of your homes). Please be kindly reminded that we had repeatedly stressed this privilege is for our dealers and not the general public. We had also sustainably reiterated that the distributor network must first be established before we announce any rollout dates. Sadly, many decided to deliberately ignore all our explanations, arbitrarily established June 14 as the rollout date, and diligently instituted a countdown. While we respect and appreciate your enthusiastic support, we kindly beseech you not to impugn our reputation and the credibility of this service by resorting to name-callings and false allegations. Pipul TV has never lied to Nigerians. We have endeavoured to be as transparent and forthcoming as possible and we expect such positions to be appreciated equally. Pipul TV is a serious project. We are here to protect the interests of the masses as well as our national pride. First and foremost we are business organisation and are committed to doing things in proper order and according to carefully laid down rules of operations, and not by emotional demands and tactics. We urge you to align your expectations with that perspective. No matter how much hungry children wail for their meal, the loving mother will never present half-cooked food on the table. |

Dates keep moving forward by 2 or 3 months. They initially said Feb 2018, then April 10, then World Cup, now August. They keep changing and accusing those that remind them of their words of misunderstanding them. 1 Like |
