My name is Gloria onyedikachi, Am 9years old and I hail from anambra state am from a family of 4. Mum is a petty trader and dad is a farmer, my family struggle to survive, hardly do we eat 3 square meal things were really hard on us.

One day my uncle [dad’s elder brother] came to visit us in the single room face me I face you apartment I and my family leave in. He said he wants to help my family by seeing me through school , my parents quickly agreed to the help and one week later my uncle and I hit the road to Aba , Abia state where I start a new life with my uncle his wife and his 5 grown up children.

It didn’t take time I was enrolled into a new school I was put in primary 5. My uncle’s son [my cousin] Pascal by name was so good to me, he would help me do my house choirs and console me each time I cry over missing my family but little did I know that not all that glitters are gold I mean I never would have expected that he would do such a thing to me, after all he is my cousin he is blood so he would never even think about it not to talk more of making it a reality.

One day I just got back from school and met Pascal alone at home so I guessed he got home a little early that day unknowing to me that he had other plans in stock for me. So I greeted him and quickly made my way to the kitchen to dish my lunch after which I headed for the bathroom to have a cold shower.
