Agreed! There was huge corruption under the past admin and PDP.
That doesn't stop our senses from functioning. We still expect Buhari to reverse the recession practically and not only on paper.

We know there was a healthy looting margin under PDP by reason of better oil earning. What we also know is that APC isn't utilizing what is coming in and is looting also.

There's nothing to explain.

Except you have no idea what the term recession means.

So if it was a Nigerian project what made you think the guy you replied will prefer to discuss it. Why not almajiri schools, 12 additional federal universities, or YouWIN?

12 universities in name with buildings that are not up to Aregbesola Primary school ? Youwin for a handful of less than 2000 PDP.g members? Almajeri school is a disgrace to PDP.g.. A Local Government Chairman cannot brandish that as achievement.
Is that what your lords in PDP did with the unprecedented income from oil?

Oga i can't recall the exact figures now but I know Jonathan built many new federal universities. Even though the existing ones lacked quality, increasing the quantity wasn't such a bad idea compared to the loot recovering duo of PMB/PYO.

Hypocrite. You go to another thread to Atikulate, meanwhile you come to a thread like this to shout North is your problem. They will continue to be your problem as long as you believe so..

What was dollar rate in 1998?

What was the cost of a bag of rice in 1998?

Our core problem is the structure. You people refused regional government, you refused restructuring, you refused police reforms, you refused oil sector reforms, refused western education for your people yet You all hide behind quota system chucking illiterates in all our government parastatals. How would the country move forward when people with cow brain are the ones leading

Who is you people?

I would ask you where all this clamour for restructuring was when Jonathan was in government?

Higher than it was in 1984 and 1985.

So what is Buhari doing to reverse the unprecedented ~85% weakening of the Naira?
[from N201 to N365 for 1usd].

So it is Jonathans tenure that is your standard for judging issues?

The guy you replied is right. The north is a huge load to this nation. They are against a merit based system and are actively maintaining the status quo in order to sustain the free flow of easy oil money.

Buhari is encouraging local production. The less we import, the less the demand for dollars..
We can never develop if we keep importing what we can produce, while unemployment is rife locally..

It had to be done in light of the reality of our economy.

It has been stable for quite a while now and that's what the economy needs - stability.

Opportunity lost can never be regained.
Nigeria will be lucky to recover 20% of all the money stolen. Not to talk of the inflation effect.

So even if it hits N1,000 to $1 as long as it is stable it is ok. Clap for yourself.

I would use Jonathan as a barometer of one's honesty.

Whilst he was in power talks of restructuring were muted until elections were close and once he lost it became amplified.

The north is not Nigeria's problem but the dishonesty and bigotry of many Nigerians.

How can it get to 1000 if it is stable.
It can only do this if it is sliding and rapidly too.
And some of you have no idea what currency exchange means.

So if Buhari by executive fiat decides we do away with the zeros in our currency and the dollar becomes 36 Naira instead of 360 Naira does that make the currency strong?

Local production of yam in Benue or Plateau?
Or
is it the dormants refineries that have defied the presense of Buhari himself.
