hmm, 95% of d Nigerian so-called church goers and also d so-called moslems are pure traditionalists. Why won't they just leave this religions alone and face what they believe in.

To some people, everything is juju,; backward non-inquisitive minds! Its not a tribal thing. It happens among all tribes in Nigeria - yorubas, Ibos etc.

The process of the ovary seperating into 2 is  is highly determined by the genes and DNA of a mammal and to answer your question there are usually changes in the DNA of a cell and this is caused by external factors like radiation, viruses, bacteria, transposons, and mutagentic chemicals as well as various errors that occur during dna replication. in a nut shell nature is not perfect.

I am not an expert in that feild, but still remember what i learnt in school, but one thing i know for sure it is not juju or witch craft!!! I JUST HOPE THE REAL EXPERTS WILL COME AND CLEAR THE AIR AND MYSTERY

I understand a bit about DNA replication and all that stuff. I just wanted to know what you meant by "the process is stopped along the line thats why the chick ended up with 4 legs" - what process that "stopped" along which line so that the result was 4 legs, that was what surprised me.

Nothing biggy, just curious - that's all.

the fact that this is a legitimate post and there are many comments supporting the "mythology" of it shows why nigerians and africans are never going to be first World countries like the US,europe and even the Asian nations.Nigerians are a backward people, living in the Dark ages,I feel sorry for you guys, look up the word "Mutation" and see that in many organisms from humans all the way down to viruses,genetic material can mutate,or change itself in random cases, why do you think if you spray roaches with insecticide repeatedly,after a while it wont affect them,because the new generations will adapt, in mammals what sometimes happens is extra limbs,babies born with extra fingers,toes, all mutations.

These are the kind of stories "Christ Chosen Church", Mountain of fire/miracles amongst other similar "deliverance" ministries love to exploit.Someone will come to their pulpit to testify how the four legged chicken caused untold hardship in the community and the dumbass pastor will not tell the person to shut up! Hi all.I did an undergrad course in embryology(study of the fetal development) of animals.
What you see in d pic is an developmental defect called POLYMELIA. There are so many defects that occur during fetal/embryo development in animals(and humans too).This is just one of them.
I doubt that the four legged chicken is a direct result of' JAZZ'.
I feel sorry for the poor farm owner who was thrown out by his illiterate neighbors.
May God help us in this country and save us from illiteracy!
